my best friend died

War Corgis. I lost my Cardigan Corgi five years ago. Best friend I ever had. Only now am I thinking about getting another one.

One of ours was from Missouri and the other from Ontario :).

We have a new blue merl now, she’s great.

"Normal" to you because of your culture and your values. A lot of people, probably most, don't share that norm and the discussion topics of this forum shouldn't be held hostage by a sensitive minority.

No ones holding anyone hostage.

You are free to be an asshole and we are free to call you one.

My sympathies

My two corgies, in one of the hardest moments of my life, died this year. One day after the other. One got sick, put her down, came home after doing that hard act, thought "i should play with my remaining puppy but let me just catch up a bit on work". An hour later he had a convulsion, the next day he was gone.

Not trying to steal your moment, just saying I feel your pain.

We got a GSD first erroneously thinking it would be cheaper, but my wife’s not going to survive more than two more years if I don’t get her a corgi.

Is loving dogs so much, an Americsn thing?

I never had a dog, but it appears Americans treat a dog better than human beings...its weird.

My family is Mexican, and each yime we went to mexico, our grandparents had a dog...they were so fun and happy, and they always obeyed...never met any other dogs that obeyed that much...Anyways, they were always treated as dogs.

My grandpa, loved the dog but if the dog tried to come inside the house, he will get kicked out asap....

In America, dogs are inside the house, they have freaking clothes, and they feel like spoiled brats at times.

I think what your friend told u, is fucked up...but some people see dogs as dogs...not ad humans.

No it's not. Different cultures have different expectations for animals for sure, but you'll see someone kind of appreciation for dogs (maybe cats too) in most countries. Tons of places have some kind of dog statue commemorating the devotion dogs have for their owners.

My grandmother who is Korean and lived under the boot of the Japanese, experienced the Korean War, lost her husband during the Vietnam war, and had to raise two kids by herself during a time and society it was unheard of for a woman to support herself. When she got a chihuahua several years ago, she loved it like a kid and when it died it broke her heart. She's still grief stricken over it.

It's hard to really take any personal pride in the loving devotion of one's dog, though. For example, Hitler's dog, I'm sure, loved him to death.

You are a bastard among bastards Ultra lol

Sorry for your loss, man.

My best friend died 7 years ago this month, he got jumped by some asshole who's ex girl he banged, went to bed and died from his brain bleeding out. Not trying to one up you as my parents dog who we had for 16 years died last year and that was horrible also. At the end of the day losing someone so much apart of your life fucking sucks man, life's not fair in that sense that anyone you become attached to will eventually be separated by death.

I havent been in a fight in probably 8 years but if one of my friends said that to me, he is getting an ass kicking he will never forget. He will carry the pain of his injuries with him every day until he dies. I would fucking lose it and rage blackout.

I'm so sorry you lost your doggo and also lost a friend at the same time.

If I made a thread about how I went to the bank and some asshole teller assumed my gender so now I'm at home literally sobbing, I don't think many on this forum would be sympathetic. There are many places on the internet where people would care about that stuff. But there are places, like Sherdog, where I would be ridiculed.

Just because TS thinks a dead dog is something to cry over doen't mean everyone has to agree. Sensitivity has always typically been up for discussion.

Some people think it's sad what happened to TS. Some people think he's being a pussy. Discuss, no?

Wow...what can a normal functioning human say in response to a post like this. I'm amazed..

Someone that views dogs as so insignificant that they are "not something to cry over" is someone that can never be trusted. With anything. Ever.

my best friend died

one of my friends said " get over it, its a a dog."

Well, If your dog died last week, your best friend is a douche.

If your dog died a year ago, your best friend is right. Get over it. It's a dog.

Also, if your dog did happen to die last week, and your best friend has a dog, it is completely acceptable for you to kill his dog.

He's got a point. Some people eat dogs. I doubt they really care about the OP.

Though I hope one day the dogs eat those people, instead.

Hitler was a known animal lover so yeah, you're probably right. He was also probably a better and more respnsible dog owner than 90% of people.
