my best friend died

Some of you guys don't seem to understand the idea of speaking figuratively. When someone tells you of a loss, the proper response is not to rate their loss and give your opinion on how bad of a loss it actually is compared to other potential losses.

The guy posted here because he is upset about his dog and half the responses are belittling the guy for being upset about it.

Take the guy I get along with the worst on this forum and have him make the same thread and I'd offer my condolences on his loss because its the right thing to do. What does it say about a person who does otherwise?

If I made a thread about how I went to the bank and some asshole teller assumed my gender so now I'm at home literally sobbing, I don't think many on this forum would be sympathetic. There are many places on the internet where people would care about that stuff. But there are places, like Sherdog, where I would be ridiculed.

Just because TS thinks a dead dog is something to cry over doen't mean everyone has to agree. Sensitivity has always typically been up for discussion.

Some people think it's sad what happened to TS. Some people think he's being a pussy. Discuss, no?

Lock a human friend and your dog in the trunk of a car for an hour. When you let them out, one will be happy to see you.

Lol yeah I feel guilty leaving my dog at home when I go to work but she is never pissed when I get home, just happy to see her master. Amazing animals.

All dogs go to heaven.

Where they chill out and eat T-bone steaks for every meal and watch over us that are left just waiting at the front door of eternity just waiting for us to come home again.

Love you boys.

Is loving dogs so much, an Americsn thing?

I never had a dog, but it appears Americans treat a dog better than human beings...its weird.

My family is Mexican, and each yime we went to mexico, our grandparents had a dog...they were so fun and happy, and they always obeyed...never met any other dogs that obeyed that much...Anyways, they were always treated as dogs.

My grandpa, loved the dog but if the dog tried to come inside the house, he will get kicked out asap....

In America, dogs are inside the house, they have freaking clothes, and they feel like spoiled brats at times.

I think what your friend told u, is fucked up...but some people see dogs as dogs...not ad humans.

Here's the difference for me.

My Friends & Family > Any Dog

However. I personally know lot's of people who are complete pieces of shit and are just horrible and selfish... I've yet to meet any dog like this... ever. Even ones that have been abused. They are loyal to a fault, even if the dog's owner treats the dog like complete garbage.

So in general, I tend to value dog's lives over random stranger's lives.

No.

Some things just cross the line of decency. This is a prime example.

Lol, get over yourself. Why is it crossing the line? Because you said so? Because it hurts your feels? You don't think you've ever said some shit here that made people feel bad?

What are you trying to say here?

Also, it seems completely "normal" for a person to cry about their longtime dog passing away. In fact, I'd find it borderline sociopath for a person to not care one way or the other.

Get over yourself. Look at you, coming into a guys thread for his pet and making light of it. What a winner you are. You're so cool.

"Normal" to you because of your culture and your values. A lot of people, probably most, don't share that norm and the discussion topics of this forum shouldn't be held hostage by a sensitive minority.

If you're so passionate about the topic, then start a new thread. Here you are just being a dick and disrespectful. This thread isn't about you.

Is it cool that we have different values?

I'm not making fun of him. I had a dog growing up. I get it. I'm just annoyed by the people like you who come in here clutching your pearls now that a thread finally tickles your vagina in a way you don't like. In a forum full of threads bashing people for their religion or orientation or race or gender, suddenly a dog is beyond limits.

my best friend died

one of my friends said " get over it, its a a dog."

<Ellaria01>

Tell me you punched them in the mouth?

Sorry for your loss dude. Dogs is family. Sometimes the only loyal family a person got.

Start a new thread about what? Dead dogs? This is a thread about thread dogs.

You just want a thread about dead dogs in which everyone agrees?

Edit: Just saw this was in Mayberry. Other poster said it was War Room. Sorry, TS, do your thing.

Sucked in. Best course of action is to ignore you.

My dog is going to turn 3 this summer and I am already thinking about this and trying to cherish my time with her (even though she is expected to make it to 10+).
Cherish it man. The time has absolutely flown by because my life has been a whirlwind of change during those years. Hoping to get my pupper out on lots of hikes this summer as well as some backpacking trips

Sorry to hear @DynamicLoosener .

I've lost 3 dogs in my life. Just got a GSD puppy who's had a couple of scares. If I lost her it would be heartbreaking. Just remember you gave him/her a good home full of unconditional love. Chin up, bud.
