my best friend died

I'm sorry you lost your buddy, man...

Don't worry, your doggo is in a better place and chasing squirrels until they're content!

Where do the squirrels go after the dogs in heaven catch them?

My 3 year old sez " Tuffy and Lilly are playing racket ball in doggy heaven".

The get teh. respawn bro! :)

From time to time, people tell me, "lighten up, it's just a dog,"
or "that's a lot of money for just a dog."

They don't understand the distance travelled, the time spent,
or the costs involved for "just a dog."

Some of my proudest moments have come about with "just a dog."

Many hours have passed and my only company was "just a dog,"
but I did not once feel slighted.

Some of my saddest moments have been brought aobut by
"just a dog," and in those days of darkness, the gentle touch
of "just a dog" gave me comfort and reason to overcome the day.

If you, too, think it's "just a dog," then you probably understand
phrases like "just a friend," "just a sunrise," or "just a promise."

"Just a dog" brings into my life the very essence of friendship,
trust, and pure unbridled joy.
"Just a dog" brings out the compassion and patience
that make me a better person.
Because of "just a dog" I will rise early, take long walks and look
longingly to the future.

So for me and folks like me, it's not "just a dog"
but an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future,
the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment.

"Just a dog" brings out what's good in me and diverts my thoughts
away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday they can understand that its' not "just a dog"
but the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being
"just a man" or "just a woman."

So the next time you hear the phrase "just a dog,"
just smile,
because they "just don't understand."

That sucks, bro. And that dude probably jerks off to midget porn.

Sorry to hear bro, I feel for you

My girlfriend had to put her dog down on Sunday. We knew it was coming. She (the dog) had cancer that was inoperable. She was still happy and everything but couldn't urinate and the vet said that when that happened it was time. I did that whole ugly crying thing. Only really got to know her for a year or so when my girlfriend and I started dating. RIP Riley!!

Sorry for your loss as well. I have 2 dogs of my own and I dread that day. Feel better my fellow dog lover!!

My sympathies

My two corgies, in one of the hardest moments of my life, died this year. One day after the other. One got sick, put her down, came home after doing that hard act, thought "i should play with my remaining puppy but let me just catch up a bit on work". An hour later he had a convulsion, the next day he was gone.

Not trying to steal your moment, just saying I feel your pain.
War Corgis. I lost my Cardigan Corgi five years ago. Best friend I ever had. Only now am I thinking about getting another one.

Dogs will eat your face after you're dead.

With that said, i'm sorry for you loss TS.

Aww man, I hate hearing this. My sincerest condolences TS.

Cherish the good memories and take comfort in the fact that you loved him, he loved you, and you gave him a good life.

Eulogy of the Dog

Gentlemen of the Jury: The best friend a man has in the world may turn against him and become his enemy. His son or daughter that he has reared with loving care may prove ungrateful. Those who are nearest and dearest to us, those whom we trust with our happiness and our good name may become traitors to their faith. The money that a man has, he may lose. It flies away from him, perhaps when he needs it most. A man's reputation may be sacrificed in a moment of ill-considered action. The people who are prone to fall on their knees to do us honor when success is with us, may be the first to throw the stone of malice when failure settles its cloud upon our heads.

The one absolutely unselfish friend that man can have in this selfish world, the one that never deserts him, the one that never proves ungrateful or treacherous is his dog. A man's dog stands by him in prosperity and in poverty, in health and in sickness. He will sleep on the cold ground, where the wintry winds blow and the snow drives fiercely, if only he may be near his master's side. He will kiss the hand that has no food to offer. He will lick the wounds and sores that come in encounters with the roughness of the world. He guards the sleep of his pauper master as if he were a prince. When all other friends desert, he remains. When riches take wings, and reputation falls to pieces, he is as constant in his love as the sun in its journey through the heavens.

If fortune drives the master forth, an outcast in the world, friendless and homeless, the faithful dog asks no higher privilege than that of accompanying him, to guard him against danger, to fight against his enemies. And when the last scene of all comes, and death takes his master in its embrace and his body is laid away in the cold ground, no matter if all other friends pursue their way, there by the graveside will the noble dog be found, his head between his paws, his eyes sad, but open in alert watchfulness, faithful and true even in death.

Condolences TS. Losing a dog can be ruff.

Just trying a little humor to cheer you up.

Sorry about your loss TS =/

My pupper is turning 7 this april, I've had him since he was 8 weeks old. He's still energetic and slim and happy all the time but I'm becoming more and more aware of his age and dreading the day when he's gone.

My dog is going to turn 3 this summer and I am already thinking about this and trying to cherish my time with her (even though she is expected to make it to 10+).

It isn't the same. Take in mind that dogs live with you and spend more time with you than friends.

Lock a human friend and your dog in the trunk of a car for an hour. When you let them out, one will be happy to see you.

Sorry for your loss, bro. At least you know he was loved and led a good life. A good friend wouldnt say stuff like that.

Losing any pet sucks. Animals are awesome and you spend a lot of time with pets.

As was stated many times, your friend is a dick.
