Good riddance, Caolan LOLghran
Yeah, couldn't stand that guy - seemingly fought out his contract and they had no interest in re-signing him.

Ive been saying for years that we should plain ignore some of the results based on bad judging but then sherdog tells me Im wrong and only the actual result matters. And we all know that sherdog is just one person.Go watch his last fight.
Wrong fighter got the nod. Fletcher was touching him up all fight and trying to finish. Loughran was holding him trying to avoid a fight.
They scored it under the old criteria and forgot you need some form of offence for a takedown to score.
The criteria is pretty clear these days. Just award the fight to the guy trying the hardest to finish the fight.Ive been saying for years that we should plain ignore some of the results based on bad judging but then sherdog tells me Im wrong and only the actual result matters. I liked Loughran and expect him to go to the PFL
He should have asked for his release before the PFL season started. The competition is not that good at 135
Unfortunately, it should even be too late for the Belfast card. He could have good fights with Taleb and McGrizzla
I would be interested to see him fight tag team with his brother
Don't compare Tony to those bumasses
Don't tell me what to do...Don't compare Tony to those bumasses
Also cut:
Pedro Falcao
Cortavius Romious
Both fine cuts as well.

whodat.gifNow I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Cortavious Romious is the Greek god of agriculture
Initial contract is for four fights and as his last win was a debatable split decision I guess they didn't want to give him a new one.

Myriad of potential reasons but one which is often overlooked (specifically for younger fighters) is to cut them with the intention of having another "lesser" org pay them to develop/mature so they can come back to the UFC a more polished product. Not necessarily applicable to anyone on this list but just a general reality of the business. Why cut someone comng off a win?
Not that i care if these fighters get cut or not, but how does getting cut help the fighters. I imagine going to another org after seeing the fighter isn't UFC material, does not help their negotiating.Myriad of potential reasons but one which is often overlooked (specifically for younger fighters) is to cut them with the intention of having another "lesser" org pay them to develop/mature so they can come back to the UFC a more polished product.
