Funny how brainless Trumpbois are thinking this is somehow a victory because he didn’t get a maximum sentence.

“HAHA LIBRUHLS TRUMP ONLY GOT 10 YEARS I GUESS THE WHOLE INVESTIGATION REALLY WAS A WITCHUNT!”

But what happened to George Stroumboulopoulos?

George%20Stroumboulopoulos%20(FILEminimizer).jpg

Smh he has more letters in his name than days in his jail sentence.

  • Allen Weisselberg, the Trump Org. CFO, has agreed to immunity in exchange for cooperating with federal prosecutors
This is the story. This is the man who-- unbeknownst to himself-- had been the named Treasurer of the Trump Foundation (the charity) for a full decade without any knowledge he held the position. Yet his signature was getting churned out on Trump Foundation documents. This is the Southern District case over which Trump has no pardoning power, and that is going to ultimately see Trump Jr. and Eric charged for multiple felonies stemming from remuneration to Cohen for an illegal "campaign contribution" paid illegally from the charity. This money paper trail may also trace back to payments made for "tech services" that could expose a Trump-Wikileaks-Russia connection that was far less innocent that Trump has fumbled to portray it even if the dope never realized he was dealing with Russia directly.

Tough, but fair

SDNY is federal not state, he has pardoning power there. Unless you meant this is the one that the State AG is looking into.

Gentlemen, a preview of the future.

Do you know what a plea deal is?

It's when you trade information for a light sentence.

A two week jail term is just more evidence that it was a plea deal.

Holyyyyyy shit! Is that real? The corruption is worse than I could have imagined.

IF I CAN SHOW THE SAME MEME OVER AND OVER WITHOUT AN ARGUMENT, IT'LL MAKE THE CRAZY LIBS ANGRY!!!! IT'S NOT CRAZY OR CHILDISH AT ALL, BECAUSE TEAM TRUMP, WHICH I'M A BIG PIECE OF, IS "WINNING"!!!
Nobody really likes Trump. You nailed it though, "stickin it to the libs" is the real platform for the modern right wing.

The judge saw through Mueller and basically called him and his actions a dick move. Perjury trap.

@bobgeese

"Roughly 60 percent of defendants in such cases receive probation, the judge said" and the judge "stressed the importance of the investigation to the integrity of American democracy. Because determining whether a foreign government interfered in the electoral process was “a matter of enormous importance,” he said, Mr. Papadopoulos’s crime was “significantly more serious than the typical violation.”... While Mr. Papadopoulos deserved a harsher punishment than probation, the judge said, he also deserved credit for trying to cooperate and for his apparent contrition. In that, he said, he differed from Alex van der Zwaan, a Dutch lawyer who pleaded guilty to deceiving the special counsel’s office about his work for Paul Manafort, the president’s former campaign manager, who was convicted last month on fraud charges. Mr. van der Zwaan, who served a 30-day prison sentence, expressed little remorse during his sentencing.

And, George P's lawyer, Thomas Breen, tried to shift some of the blame for his client’s lies to President Trump. He suggested that Mr. Papadopoulos took his cues from Mr. Trump, who has tried to discredit the inquiry by the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, into Russia’s interference in the election and whether any Trump associates conspired... “The president of the United States hindered this investigation more than George Papadopoulos ever could,” Mr. Breen said. “The message for all of us is to check our loyalty, to tell the truth, to help the good guys.”

And this was a hearing you Trumpleforeskins are celebrating as a win against Mueller's cause (a.k.a., "the good guys")!<36>{<jordan}<Dany07>

I’m not sure if I’ll ever stop laughing if his two sons go to jail.

They are scumbags because they were raised that way. I actually sort of feel bad for them. Sort of..

"George Papadopoulos, the one-time foreign policy adviser to Donald Trump who became swept up in the special counsel investigation, says members of the Trump campaign team were “fully aware” and in many cases supportive of his efforts to broker a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I actively sought to leverage my contacts with the professor to host this meeting,” Papadopoulos told ABC News Chief Anchor George Stephanopoulos in an exclusive interview on "This Week" Sunday. "The campaign was fully aware what I was doing."
