Mueller's Patton the back (investigation thread v. 22)

If you dig a little into Bob Woodward, you'll get a better understanding of A.) this stuff is all 100% true and B.) backed up and triangulated with multiple sources of proof (memos, tapes, etc...). There is a reason nobody will sue him for what he asserts...because they will be deposed and he will embarrass them with the proof.

The conversation with Trump was hilarious. Listening to that orange scumbag lie to Bob to directly was a real pleasure. The Kelly-ann part was equally hilarious.
Can we say who gave him interviews, for the "quotes" that for example Mattis and Kelly have denied? Why would they or anyone in this WH say any of this in an atmosphere of firings and resignations?

It's kind of annoying listening to breathless journalists and talking heads I like speak of "quotes" and paraphrasing what's in the book in a sloppy way.

There is always a tweet, that contradicts Trumps current stance. He is a Human Flip Flop.
Only hires the best people.

I have a gif of trump blowing a kiss at comey

I can't help but hear Trump say "Hey, Jamie, come over heeeyyyaaa" is a thick Jersey accent. Followed by, "What did I ever do to you to be treated with such disrespect? Now if you had come to me as a friend..."

Because they are exasperated by the "leadership" leading to the firings and resignations?

These quotes are outlandish, but not that outlandish in the light if things that have been known to be going on un the WH. Any other WH, not even plausible. But this one it's just another day if the week.

Pretty sad that Trump has put Mattis & Kelly in a position where their only viable political option is to lie.

Sounds too like Trump is going to treat the mid-terms like Michael Corleone treated the death of Vito Corleone and the christening of his godson at the end of the Godfather, all family business will be settled and everyone is getting whacked afterwards.

Kelly is a shitbag anyway, though. Remember when he lied about the conversation with the mother of the soldier killed in Africa?

I member.

I'm over allegations. Likely true stories bores me. I want facts, not more words.
I remain hopeful that Woodward has gotten an amazing insider's look that turns out to be accurate and has taken a step towards being the greatest presidential journalist of all time.

He has 100's of hours of recordings from his sources. He also has a sterling 45 year track record. I'm not sure why you're pushing back against his book.

Every cite of these not-quotes needs the words allegedly said in front of them

Woodward needs to do some counter punching soon and release any tapes he has regarding those quotes, or his book is in danger of being sloughed off by Trump supporters in the same way Omarossa's and Fire and Fury have been. The appeal to Woodward's history and integrity isn't going to work with that group, he is just like another ninja goon attacking Chuck Norris in their 80's movie worldview, with Trump in the American badass hero role.

It's not push back, it's pragmatic caution.
It's far too much of a good thing, too close to something I'd like to be true. So I'm cautious but not skeptical.

I still have some respect for Mattis and Kelly and figure they're protecting themselves with denials now, that they may bust open when they're clear of the Trump leash.

What point are you trying to make?

Doubt is my default, as it should be for you. If you don't doubt it, I'm assuming you've personally performed a thorough review of the DNC server logs.

More honest than what? Point me to something "dishonest" I posted.

What did I post that is "disingenuous"?
So you doubt the unanimous consensus of our intelligence agencies?

The truth of what? Be specific. If you're saying that it looks like I'm obfuscating my true allegiances, that's probably because I don't have any allegiances to anyone involved in the Mueller investigation.

My personal political views will change until I die. However, something that probably won't change is commitment to the rule of law. So when people in this thread attempt to defile the rule of law by e.g., redefining "obstruction of justice" to apply to the Comey firing, I'm going to speak out. That position in particular shows pathetic ignorance and/or disregard for federal law and constitutional principles.

The threads I start are usually concerned with illegal immigration. Until very recently, that wasn't a "conservative" issue.

As for this thread, defending the rule of law + the rights of the accused and opposing hyperaggressive prosecutorial tactics was a liberal position until Trump got into office.
Well we'll know soon enough if a judge agrees with you.

No matter what was said before fucking moron is not going to make it any better.
Trump is a decent fellow but a fucking moron.

See no matter what the sentence implies first it always ends with Trump is a fucking moron.

I'm afraid I simply can't agree.

Trump is no decent fellow.

I can understand it. At this point, everything new that comes out makes Trump more and more of a caricature. After a while, it becomes tiresome and you start to just want some real confirmation and resolution, finally.

Here's hoping the recordings themselves surface.
