wtf man. you need to train when you are in Thailand.![]()
That's why I signed up with Sinbi, and it was a great choice because there were a lot of hot girls to hang out with. Phuket isn't so bad, I actually liked it because there is something for everyone. I like Chiang Mai too, much better place to go shopping.
I'm pretty much done training muay thai right now, I'm trying to take tours and get in everything Chiang Mai has to offer.
Hey guys, I recently lost my job and am thinking of going to Thailand to train for 6 months. Up to this point most of my research was pointing me towards Santai and I'm still considering it, but my boxing coach wants me to check out Sangtiennoi's gym.
Does anyone have any info on his gym? Anyone trained there? I don't think he has a website; he's no longer at Baan. Does anyone know anything about his gym / have first hand info? Anything would be helpful.
I will also accept first hand experience with Santai, though I've already read a lot of reviews. Does anyone know if any Thais actually train / fight there? Thanks guys.
Hi guys - first post! looking for some advice...
I am hoping to go to Phuket this December for some training; I've been having personal training sessions for a few months now and really looking to get a good grounding in MT.
I had originally decided on Phuket top team, as they have also got a grappling programme and do cheap accomodation; now a friend is coming with me, which is good financially but he isn't really interested in MT. I've heard PTT is quite out of the way, so that's out of the window now, as my mate will get a bit bored if i'm training twice a day and he has nowhere to go!
Basically what I'm after is a good camp for a novice, near a good boozing and whoring location and beaches for my buddy.
any ideas from anyone greatly appreciated!

Excellent! Thanks for this guys. If my mate confirms then Maximum looks like the winner, if not then probably Phuket Top Team.
Another query - I have found a few posts advising against booking accommodation through a gym, as it's expensive; however, when I look at hostels etc. I can't find anywhere nearly as well priced!? I've also been advised to find accommodation out there, but I have terrible financial planning, so would rather get everything priced up in advance....
Speaking of kaewsamrit. Anyone heard anything about them in terms of Thai boxers? I know there are a few foreigners making their name from kaewsamrit, but i have not heard about many Thais in the big stadiums repping that name as of recent. I'm not sure how "hot" of a topic kaewsamrit is now compared to when everyone was raving about it 3-4 years ago. I'm sure it's still a quality gym though.
^to add to this, Kaewsamrit, like Chuwattana, is a boxing "aware" camp from what I hear from others. They include specific boxing mitt rounds after thai pad rounds.
I can attest to chuwattana camp being more boxing heavy than most other thai camps because I stayed there a few years ago, lamsongkram left and the trainers have long since changed, but there are still western style boxers there. Jomthong is a monster at muay Thai as well as boxing.
Whoever said chuwattana had no technique must have been a lazy student, or maybe annoying and people avoided him. I got loads of valuable knowledge from the trainers during my stay, if they like you they teach you some slick tricks and tactics. Chuwattana is a very physical camp, but it's also very technical.
Since we've talked about a couple schools that have extra punch training, anyone know some heavy clinch camps?
I know lookprabat and keatkhamtorn are clinch camps all the way. Any others?
