Gym/Training Muay Thai Gym Q&A

should be a good gym with all the rewards kaewsamrit has won, is it crowded there?

it can be from time to time but they always make time to give you atleast 3 rounds on the pads. As long as I been here they never accepted more people than they can handle.

We've had other people that tried other gyms then got stuck when they got here. I haven't heard anyone who wasnt happy with the training here.

Any feedback on Golden Glory Pattaya?

I'll be in Pattaya in 2 weeks, and was originally planning on spending all my time and Baht at Fairtex doing privates (at 1200 Baht a pop) but apparently at GG they do privates at 750 Baht per hour which seems very reasonable. I'm told that Overeem and some of their other pros are over there right now.

Overeem and his posse are in Pattaya right now. Take a left from the sugar beat (HUT) and youl get there. Its next to CoCo residence and Overeem stays there.
There is a picture in the restaurant of Overeem behind the bar.
Moped taxi is 50-80bth from walking street to GG Gym. Depends how good you can bargain :D

check out my post above. I think Kaewsamrit is the gym your looking for. My foot is currently hurt so I can't kick so Ive been doing only boxing for a while now and its the same level (or higher) then a lot of boxing gyms I've tried before.

When i was out at Jitti a coule of years back a guy came through from Kaewsamrit, was goin on about the boxing!

Hello guys! Great thread!
I just have a question, probably I missed this info.
I would like to spend 3 months of training in Bangkok. What are the best months to train there? Which is the best season?

I loved the fifth advice. Someone might not know that and take something with him just for fun and... Damn!

I'm going to Bangkok in July for a month.
I will be starting out at Kittana gym(Muay Thai Camp in Bangkok, Thailand) anyone on here been there?
I might also check out Sitsongpeenong despite the high prices.
Just a few months remaining to get into Thailand shape..

I apologize ahead of time because its probably been asked before but nothing specific, can you buy gear at Sinbi? and if so anyone have estimates on cost, I want to travel light as possible and just get my stuff there

Yes, there is a shop at Sinbi with pretty much everything you need. Not sure of the prices, but I'll back be there in two weeks and will let you know.

From memory at Sinbi Twins 16oz gloves were around the 1700-1800 mark and prices went down with size. Focus mits were 2300 ish. Thats all I can remember. Never priced up shin pads because I have 4 sets at home lol. I seem to inherit stuff.

It's not because it is Sinbi, it's because it is Phuket. Every gym over charges for equipment. It's how they make money. I don't buy equipment from the gyms. I do all my shopping at the Boon Sport shop or at Actionzone in Bangkok.

Yeah most stuff from gyms is expensive although there is a place near Sinbi that just sells gear and is more expensive again. A few years ago I bought stuff from one of the shops outside Lumpinee Stadium and it was cheaper. I think the shops Ryukyu mentioned are the cheapest.
