Gym/Training Muay Thai Gym Q&A

In one and a half month I will probably be leaving for thailand, I will probably be staying at TMT for a month and then go to the bangkok area hopefully my money will last me for another month there, I was just wondering if anyone had any information regarding true bee or fairtex bangplee. I heard that the main coach from true bee left the camp recently and that it had deteriorated in quality tremendously because of it, is this true ?
 
rajdamnern normally doesnt care about that i think, last year there was a demonstration of the PAD yellowshirts on the same road and it was business as usual.

I was only for a day, but I can vouch for it. Very close to patong, but up a very steep hill so not walking distance. Don't get ripped off like I did going there by car (400baht, haha), take a taxi motorbike, or if confident and experienced, hire your own. Taxi number written on wall to get back if you have not organised one. Communication took a bit to get used to but once you start understanding the grunts, heaves and hos, you all good. Australian lady who works/lives there made it a bit better (I'm an aussie) although I am only of beginner/intermediate level, the training and all trainers were fantastic. one ring, plenty of mat space, 7 or so bags, gym, and most important, it was all ONE ON ONE. None of that waiting on the heavy bags with no supervision waiting to get on the pads stuff. There were only 5 other folk training there which is why, but compared to other more commercial gyms in Phuket, PBG is fantastic. I wish u had more time to study MT while in Thailand, but was only there for 11 days, Bangkok-kunchunnaburi-Phuket. Will be going back within the next 12 months, to PBG of course.
 
Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket is good, I was there for 2 months but stayed in Rawaii. alot of gyms to pick, but tiger has a good MMA base/ BJJ instructor Ray Elbe cool dude and good atmosphere. Baroni I think is still down there.

interested in chuwatta gym! anyone have any recent details as of date and any contact information would greatly be appreciated. possibly an email and any reviews would also help.
 
For the past month i have been reading this thread and it has got me thinking lol

I havent went on vaca or anything since i have started college but i love MMA and MT has always interested me. I trained bjj for about a month and took a few MT classes at that gym but i had to leave because i didnt have enough money for it and the head trainer was a straight up ass hat.

But it got me thinking that i would love to go to Thailand for a year after i graduate in about 3 years but im not sure any gyms would welcome me with opens arms since i might be a hinderance to the other experienced fighters that are there.

Are there any gyms that a noob in welcomed at? Preferably a place that i can live at with meals and such and away from big cities so i can focus on MT and relaxation when im not training?

That is very nice to hear.

I have about 3 years to save for the trip and i really like LEgacy because it is out of the way and has an MMA program as well and it is cost friendly but i am super open minded. I just want the best MT experience.
