Gym/Training Muay Thai Gym Q&A

After doing some calculations (they may be wrong..im not math expert) but for a year of training at Island Muay Thai on Koh Tao it would be a little under 10k with a room, food, training.

Does that sound right? Or did i fudge up?

*edit* Any reviews of this gym? I have only found one review and it sounded nice. 1 trainer per 1-4 people for the morning. Doesnt sound bad but im curious about the trainers and their attitude.

Anybody stayin in BKK at the end of the month or during september who wants to have a beer at one of the stadiums?

OK, i leave tomorrow, if anyone wants some free beer at Thaifights, the Saenchai or Sakketdao bout, drop me a pm...

Can anyone recommend a minimum level of fitness and experience before attempting to train in Thailand at Keatkhamtorn?

Do you get many tallish (over 6') people training there?

Be able to run a 5k and know how to skip rope. They will teach you everything else.

First:
Thank you guys for the infos and all the effort you puted into it. I love Muay Thai, and i am looking forward to train in Thailand next year.

Second:
i have a huge request to the guys how live in Thailand or has conections in the Muay Thai scene in Thailand. I was trained by Arjan Wandee Laosit, which lived in germany. 2 years ago he moved back to Thailand and opened a gym there, since then i hasn't heard anything from him. Maybe anyone of you knows the name of his Gym or has heard anything of him. I mean he was like a father to me and i just wanted to know how he is doing. It would mean a lot to me if anyone of you had some infos of him.

really so a trip to thailand is goin to coast about $500 a month. thats a lot, especially since i only make about 100 a week lol.
