Hey guys, ive been reading a few of the different glove reviews and questions, but thaught it would be best for me to post my specific problem so i could get some info. Okay so im doing muay thai classes now, but im not too happy with my gloves at all. i have these.. Top Contender Thai-Style Sparring Gloves-Combatsports.com I didnt know much about anything before i baught them, sadly. The problem im finding with them, is that even after it being broken in, its extremly hard to open up the palm, and when u do it starts to stretch the material and rip on the inside and get extremly loose. Im not sure if this is just because i have small hands / wrists though. The thumb also doesnt realy move into the spot i think it should, and its a struggle just to make a fist tightly.
I want to get a pair of gloves for sparring, but could occasionaly be used on the bag, because i will eventualy get bag gloves too.
So what im looking for is a glove in the 40-89$ price range, unless a few $ more will make the big difference. I have small hands and wrists, so any idea if lace up / hook and loop versions of the partial gloves im looking into would be better? Not to sound dumb, but i would prefer a white pair (not realy sure, i just think white gloves look baddass) So anyway, ive been looking into things like Grant Campeon Lace-Up Boxing Training Gloves-Combatsports.com, Fighting Sports Pro Training Gloves - Elastic | Fighting Sports Boxing Gloves | Fighting Sports | Shop by Brand from Title Boxing (i know it looks like a winning knockoff, but still an good?) uhmm im also looking at the twins specials, not too sure about fairtex because i dont know if it would fit the same as the kind i have now that i dont like, any windys ? Raja Boxing Muay Thai Gloves Velcro Closure [RBGV-1-4] those didnt look too bad, although i dont know what they look like compared to others, and lastly, maybe the triumph united heatseekers or thai silencer
Im just trying to narrow my search down a bit, ive tried finding comparison pictures of some of the gloves in a 16 oz so i could somewhat determine if the shape will fit and feel good for me. Im hoping i explained the trouble im finding with my other gloves good enough, so any suggestions would help. I just want something a little bit more on the compact side so it doesnt feel like im punching with giant pillows, or atleast something i can open to block a jab good and make a good fist. Again, i mostly just wondering how some of those gloves compair in size / mobility. I will continue to search the forums, but any help would be greatly appreciated
