Does anyone have any ideaz for how we can get Microsoft's attention, to offer "Classic" Paint as a download in their store like they promised us back in 2017?

I've been looking into it a bit, but it's hard to search for because the latest news is that Paint 3D is going away, & so searches are bombarded with that chatter, & I can't find a fooking thing about Classic (Legacy) Paint.

With "Classic" Paint nixxed from Windows 11, plenty of people are bitching about the new Paint they made, but not a peep about bringing back "Classic Paint" or offering it as a download.

Back in 2017 Windows 10 was initially going to be the first OS since the mid 80's that didn't include our beloved Paint program. Teh paint fanz rallied big time with social media outrage & petitions & got Microsoft's attention. Microsoft's first response was saying they'd offer it as a free download in their store, but instead, ended up making it a part of the operating system.

Fast forward to the 2020 release of Windows 11, & now they've created another version of Paint "with active layers." That changes the game in itself since you can adjust things at any time throughout teh creation process as opposed to the "one & done" opportunity you have with "classic paint."

It's the challenge we all like though. Fook layerz in Paint... we don't want the program enhanced. I see a lot of people on the web talking about the new Paint being too complex for simple tasks... & it has problems with crashing & losing all progress... so their upgrade sux anyway.

Whatever about all that though... where teh fook is teh "classic" paint download we were promised back in 2017? Where'z teh social media outrage & petitionz we saw back then?

Any ideaz about what can be done?

Omitting paint altogether was egregious enough of a move to cause a general uproar, but offering an old and "deprecated" version of their program is something that I don't think Microsoft would budge on. Even if it's pretty much a given that they could upload all legacy versions of mspaint on MS Store in an instant if they chose to.

I didn't like the new version. It felt clunky and it crashed while I was very deep into drawing my entry. Paint should never crash ffs, it should run on a tamagotchi.
