Can someone recommend me a decent, free MP3 player app for Samsung? I currently have Muzio and it's starting to suck pretty bad. It works fine, but it started doing a Sherdog level of ads a while back, which was annoying but I figured I could live with since it's free. But a week or so ago it started opening on its own whenever I use my phone - outgoing or incoming calls. It's very frustrating. I pretty much only use the app when I'm on the elliptical or for making ringtones.

Any suggestions on a new app or a fix for the Muzio app would be appreciated.

I'm not poor.

Edit - I'm looking for an app to play existing mp3s on my phone, not to stream.

I couldn't be bothered to waste my phone's storage by putting music on it so I just bought a couple of separate small MP3 players. Works great, I have 4 filled up that I switch between

I use Amazon Music app

Sure it cost over $100 a year but it's worth it for me

I tend to use AIMP on my desktop, the app is apparently decent as well

Who still uses mp3s are you old?

That being said till my last computer died like 2 years ago I had something like 100gb of mps3 lol.

I use the Pulsar app. No ads and works great as a no frills player

Why did you have to say you're not poor?

Music takes up most of the storage on my phone, I don't save a lot of videos or anything

I use poweramp..there's a free one and there's lifetime pay for a few bucks..was cheap and have been using it for many years

Good for you still using mp3s. Get rid of as many apps as possible. They all collect data and spy on your ass.

Blackplayer

Used it the last 4 androids I have owned

Curious if you can get Apple Music app on a Samsung like I think some non-Apple devices can have Apple TV+. On iPad and Apple TV, it just plays what you own (or bought maybe) and no ads ever.

Yet look at the number of posters ITT incapable of understanding why anyone wouldn t want to stream.

For one thing these streaming apps need an internet connection to load. So you can‘t play your downloaded content without an internet connection, last time I used spotify and YT Music.

I use Musicolet and I love it. I have often searched and download and tried many different MP3 players for my phone, and I'm digging this one so far.

Power amp is one of the poster above mentioned, one of the better music players application, highly recommended
