That's the same argument they used the bi-racial marriage fight. It is both a gender discrimination and a sexual orientation discrimination. Limiting the sex of the person you can marry is discrimination in the same way that limiting the race of the person you can marry. Additionally, because the law has no legitimate interest beyond preventing gay people from marrying each other because people don't like it and want to prevent other people from doing it, it is intentional discrimination without any good reason besides animus.

Every time there's a "men's restroom" and "women's restroom" there's gender discrimination.

Allowing interracial marriage is based on the premise that racism is bad. To apply that kind of logic to gay marriage and say that we should allow gay marriage, you're basically saying opposition to homosexuality is bad. Supporting "marriage equality" isn't a neutral position, contrary to what supporters would have people believe.

weve come full circle

from "please dont hate gays" to "nobody is allowed to disagree with gay marriage"

*Yawn* You already tooled yourself once today trying to show me up: love those assumptions. Pretty telling that you're too terrified anymore to even engage my arguments. Regardless, I have no desire to entangle myself in a circumstantial narrative that I cannot definitively prove.

Lol, I tooled myself at laughing at the laffer curve? Ok buddy.

And you don't see the irony in you screaming conspiracy with zero evidence? I mean, in any thread where someone is claiming a conspiracy based on circumstantial evidence you will come in and start ripping on the person. What's the difference here? Is it the "victim" of this conspiracy theory is a rich, homophobic white guy?

Adios.

Apparently being an asshole is bad for business (at least this type of business).

+1. Chrome is still catching up. This is outrageous. I don't see what his personal views have to do with his operations as a businessman. It was his money, not Mozilla's money. It's not like I've ever been blocked from visiting pro-gay websites due to a built-in filter by Firefox, LOL.

I support gay civil unions. I don't support this nonsense.

It has everything to do with business. Tech is a very competitive industry when it comes to getting new talent which is necessary for a thriving, expanding business. Few people want to work for a hateful bigot these days. Him remaining CEO would have made a huge impact in that regard.

It had more to do with that than with what us masses think.

No dude, it was a conspiracy to oust him by a hateful board of directors and social media. Using twitter to express displeasure at the political views of others is harassment because twitter is free, unlike voting stock. Keep up, man. Haven't you been paying attention to that Andrei Arlovski looking guy?

First part: Yeah? So what? Separate bathrooms is gender discrimination. It survives because there are good reasons for it grounded in public safety. No such reasons exist for gender discrimination in marriage.

Second part: Yes. Opposition to homosexuality is bad at least so far as opposition includes infringing on the rights and liberty of homosexuals. There will be costs for engaging in such behavior. Not necessarily with the law, but almost always in society. I think that is a pretty simple and obvious truth, is it not?

Another misreading and conflation of separate spheres. The forums of Sherdog are the business itself. If he was policing his business with an anti-gay fist, discriminating against gay employees, ideas, or creating a hostile work environment, then this would be relevant. Furthermore, Crave/Sherdog do permit naked breasts; just not in forums you're permitted to see. Indeed, there are yet further layers of privacy. This would almost be like if Crave "fired" me- or more appropriately, someone like DMF or Buffalo- for not removing pics of naked breasts on private forums like the mod subforum.

so the further one gets to the "top" on sherdog the more things are allowed? interesting

reminds me of some other institutions

So this guy got canned for having the same opinion as Barack Obama in 2008? The same year I'm betting quite a few of the board of directors voted for Obama, who affirmed that he believed marriage was between one man and one woman?

Oh well the market spoke and he wasn't wanted anymore.

Cry me a river.

There is still plenty of room to go. A lot of people don't want to try same sex because the thought of it is very unappealing. Those people need to change their negative views on it and embrace it as part of a cultural norm.

Can you point to one of these people for me?

any of the mentally weak excuses for men who claimed that they felt sick at the sight of the cross at the world trade centre. or just about any atheist who campaigns against Christmas tree's or public displays of faith. they want these things removed because they don't like them. bigotry isn't just a one way street that the left can use to marginalize people, that would be unfair

I don't think many, or any of them hold CEO positions.

Okay, you may have a point but still haven't given a specific example.. I'm just wondering, is there an Atheist CEO out there that's gone out of his way to marginalize Christians?

lol

every large empire or civilization fell apart as soon as that becomes a cultural norm

history goes through cycles

hero phase- pulls the world from chaos and strife, creates a conservative and prosperous age. very religious and adhere to "traditional" family units. ww2 generation, pre-pax-romana romans, civil war generation

prophet phase- never faced real trouble and searches for problems with the civilization founded by the hero generation. sacrifices stability for idealism and pleasure. lots of partying, drinking and sexual exploration. weimar republic, baby boomers, late pax-romana romans

the pendulum is on the prophet phase, but its swinging back as everything is crumbling beneath us. also as the progressives get more and more extreme with 40+ gender options on facebook and are alienating the moderates

I don't think there is...

A CEO wouldn't be stupid enough to loudly vocalize his anti Christian views (assuming he had any), because he would end up insulting much of his consumers/customers.

in a world as big as ours, I wouldn't be surprised, although I have never heard of it myself?

True. It would be a horrible idea, but so is what this CEO did lol

I can't think of any either. But I agree, being bigoted goes both ways.
