Thread title speaks for itself. Any schools in San Antonio? I mean a more MMA approach type school, no gi.

I know for a fact there are a few in Dallas trying looking online =/. SOrry I can't help.

Here's where I go: http://www.texaspowerhouse.com/ It's on Austin Hwy, next to a music store..... They do no-gi and gi. I enjoy the place and the instructors know what they are doing. You ought to be able to get a free class to get a feel for the school.

Cool thanks. I'll check that out once I get settled in a bit.

Check out Sinlapa's Muay Thai Academy. I train submission grappling with Mike Rangel (awesome teacher). We train Mondays and Wednesdays from 8-9:30, and Saturday from 12-2 p.m. It's only 30 bucks a month, or 5 dollars at each training session. The guys there are generally pretty good (I get my ass handed to me). I think you'd really like it.

Oops, forgot to tell you it's at 2819 Hillcrest Drive.

i go here when i can..but the head guy is very knowledgeable, the classes are inexpensive; an they have alot of solid guys to work w/grapple with, a couple'a guys on this board used to train there before they moved out of state. They also have muay thai instruction there as well....

check it out

That sounds excellent. Thanks for the scoop.

I'm moving in with my best friend who I've done TMA's with in my youth and who took some Japanese JJ. Once I get him whipped into shape I'll try to drag him down too.
