2017 It was the best of the bunch but grouping it in with the sequel drags down the package.

I'd have to rewatch the 1990 one though. Maybe it holds up better than I remember and maybe if I watched 2017 It again it would feel kind of like The Force Awakens.

I prefer the 1990 version better, because that’s what I grew up with.

I was like 10 or 11 when it came out and it scared me/creeped me out. I’ve watched it since being older, and it held up for me .

Plus, Tim Curry was perfect.

The new one was okay.

I wonder if this is a situation where younger people prefer the recent one and older people will prefer the mini-series?

1990 and it's not close for me.

I enjoyed the remake part 1, flawed as it was, but disliked the part 2 for reasons I don't even know how to articulate.

1990 was just better to me.

OG was a mini series right? I know most watched it in one shot as a movie. Would’ve been cool to see episodically. It was superior to the remakes though I didn’t mind them. I preferred the more realistic version. Was the only movie that actually scared me as a child and I am a horror fan

Rewatch the 1990 one

The remake isn’t bad, it’s actually pretty entertaining. The OG is pretty damn good in the 1st act but the 2nd is.. bad.

Also, I give the Pennywise edge to Curry -no knock on AS, he was pretty decent in his own right- but Curry is a legit top tier actor, and his clown was creepier while AS was more ‘supernatural’

The good stuff in 1990 (Curry, the atmosphere, music) still holds up but there are some cringe early 90s moments in there. Still better than the remake though.
I watched it again recently with my nephews and they loved it. I’ve seen it many times. I can’t really think of any cringe moments honestly. I mean other than the intentional ones where IT is pretending to be a goofy clown

The spider at the end and the cheesy adult dinner scene are what I was thinking of.

I liked them all but I totally understand why people disliked the newer ones. Still prefer the books more even though the books had that disgusting shit in it.
