Mousasi's resume

Man I'm tired of arguing with people that wins at one weight class don't add to your legacy in another weight class.

lol you are free to discuss whatever you wish
If I want to consider the best wins of a fighter regardless of weight limits, do you have any problem witth that?
Im not interested in your corseted approach.

Mousasi, as Henderson or Machida, are greater MWs in my book than other guys of the same size who used to cut weight more often and might have better wins at 185. If you separate by weight limits and can't look beyond that cool, its your opinon.

It's not a limitation in my way of thinking. It's being logical. It doesn't make any logical sense whatsoever to say going up or down in weight and winning fights, should boost your ranking in your original weight class. As simple as that. What would be logical is saying it would add to that fighters p4p ranking.

But these are the same people that think beating Hunt and Goodridge is impressive. Or that beating old hendo and vitor is impressive. So I don't know why I'm expecting logic anyway.

The reality is that you only discuss p4p in GOAT talk, which by definition involves very few people across weightclasses.
You won't discuss about Mousasi, Weidman or Romero in that conversation.

But I still want to judge Mousasi for what he is worth compared with other fighters his size, and yeah I consider all his good performances, not just at one particular weight limit.

That's why Henderson, Machida, Belfort - and to a lesser extent Mousasi - have a case to be considered greater than Franklin, Bisping, Rockhold or Jacare, who might have a more prolific record at MW despite actually cutting more weight to 185 lol

If you want to discuss about wins at a particular weight limit only, cool. Look for other partner

Gegard has one of the best skill sets at MW, but he is too hot and cold to be considered one of the best IMO.

He looked like a world champion some fights and like a middling fighter others.
Exactly

LMAO put me on ignore if you don't want to talk to me. I don't consider wins outside of a weight class to add value at that weight class and I never will. And you know what? That's the way most fans see it as well. That's why you don't see people saying Hendo is the best lhw or mw ever because he beat Fedor and Nog.

lol you replied to me, not the other way around get it right.. I've never put anybody on ignore, chill dude
We're talking about Mousasi's resume or legacy. I look at his performances across every weightclass, and compare him with who are around same size than him.
You don't, cool.

I ain't mad at you if it came off that way. The context isn't his overall all time status. It's if he's one of the best mws ever or not. Beating frankly crappy versions of Hunt and goodridge outside of mw don't add to that.

What context? The one you want to create?

The tittle says and is about Mousasi's resume, NOT Mousasi's MW resume, get it right.

Indeed, Hendo is above most MWs from a GOAT standpoint, arguably only behind Anderson Silva.
And yeah, Mousasi would be higher in the p4p list than many guys his size who might have better record than him at 185. Some of them actually cut more weight than Gegard to fight there lol
If you get the point, and you want to address it, great, if you dont, cool as well

He never beat elite ufc fighters in their prime. They were either pre-prime, post prime or middle of the pack.

His "wins" over Hendo and Belfort are trash. Both of them were over 40 and off TRT. Same goes for his rematch with Lyoto, win over an ancient Goodridge and other fights.

You're known here as an annoying Mousasi hater. If the Hendo win is so trash, why was he ranked top 10 in the world? and why did the champ Bisping struggled with him so hard? Off TRT Hendo beat Bisping and KTFO Lombard, Boetsch, Shogun..

Almost 2021- 18 years clean over every top organization- almost 50 wins, like a 90% win percentage, titles upon titles.......AND STILL one of the top fighters on the planet.

It doesn't even make sense in a sport like this. Bow down cause we'll NEVER see anything like it again.
A top tier goat fo sure...... u dont have to like it but how can anyone not appreciate the Gegard Mousasi??

That shouldve been mousasi defending belt but he wouldn't pick on the 15th ranked 47 year old hendo( who he knocked out in 59 seconds.....a past it hendo but handled him according to the massive odds[ -500]....bisping , lol- arguably lost).Bisping got away from fighting moose once and flat out ducked him a second time......which , mousasi wouldve signed if the brit wasn't scared to immediately lose belt )

A past it Andy threw his hat in the mix and the brit was happy to avoid the dutchman. He even said as much ( it sucks that I can't find the quote but may God strike me dead if I'm lying)
