I had the same thing happen to me. So what I figured out was that just lifting weights and running, just to be in shape, was too boring and I couldn’t do it anymore. I signed up for Muay Thai so that my “workout” actually involves learning a skill set and playing a sport. Motivation has no longer been an issue. I can’t stay away from the gym. I love training.
You can do steady state cardio or intervals. You don't have to kill yourself.
Same with lifting, just progress in any way the next time.
Eventually muscle memory will kick in and you will be back to where you were.
Personally I cut out pastries and bagged snacks like chips or Cheetos and Doritos as well as soda and sugary carbonated drinks which gives me room for the occasional burger and beer.
