Most unbeaten p4p fighter ever?

Just to clarify, which one was that?

- The one losing the first round to old Cerrone
- The one getting fucked up by staph FKL till he gassed, because of illness
- The one getting beaten up by newcomer Vannata, till that one gassed from knocking him down ( he always gasses)
- The one needing an illegal upkick vs Barboza
- The one losing to MJ
To be fair I think he was talking about all 5 of them.

Fedor. Fedor had the longest dominant run (Next to Igor) of nearly 10 years and looked the most unstoppable, he had a few brief moments where he was on the defense and was rocked once by Fujita, but he usually went got pissed off and went full Terminator mode after the fact and ended finishing his opponent, during this run he never had a fight that went to a controversial decision.

Jones has the more dominant career over all but at his peak Fedor had an aura of invulnerability that no one matched, I never thought he'd lose.

i'd say Aldo deserves it more than some people already on op's list (Volk for one).

You forgot the one who got a gifted decision against Castillo after being wrestlefucked all the match.
true Aldo was a beast

Fedor and Jones looked untouchable in their peak. They both had 1 loss that was not a real loss. Fedor got caught by a big punch in the Fujita fight and Jones was in danger of an armbar in the TRT'or fight. Other than that, I do not remember either them in a really dangerous situation in their primes. Fedor was not the same after PRIDE but Jones had a legendary longevity and may not be done yet.

Khabib, Aldo, Volk, MM are the other candidates. Cain is there as well but I think any version of him could have been stopped the same way it happened in the Ngannou fight. Then you had fighters like Ronda, FW Conor and even Anderson who had amazing runs but you knew they had some weaknesses. GSP has a couple of losses that he should not have had. Ilia might be in the same boat if he beats either Arman or Islam.

no one thinks anyone could beat prime anderson
gsp isnt even a number 1 p4p fighter back then
hes always second to andy

also every gsp fights for a hard full 5 rounds
while anderson makes everyone look like a nobody

Jones
GSP
Ilia
Merab
Ngannou
Chimaev

no one thinks anyone could beat prime anderson

people are waiting for years for Anderson to face a wrestler and a big guy like him, i still remember how he didn't want to fight Weidman and how A LOT of people were safe in Chris being the perfect match up in order to beat Anderson (who didn't lost a step until that moment and i still think that he lost confidence more than athleticism).

Anderson's run is legendary but he didn't fight the variety of opponents that GSP, Aldo or Fedor faced and people noticed it at the time.

Question is basically best fighter ever without longevity and resume. Best peak. Just who beat all or most similar weight fighters ever without losing if we run different fights with different opponents billions times. Or who do you choose to fight similar size alien without weapons in MMA settings to save our planet.

Candidates: peak (sea-level) Cain, peak Fedor, peak GSP, peak Jones, peak Islam (current), peak Khabib, peak Chimaev (current), peak Ilia (current), peak Merab (current), peak, peak Usman, peak Hendricks, peak Ngannou, peak Ubereem, peak Anderson, peal Cruz, peak Volk...
How can you not have the UFC’s number 1 for years in your list?? Even when GSP and Jones were at their peak, Anderson was considered the best ever by almost everyone. Even Dana who hated him saw him miles ahead of Jones and GSP. He was srh else, made everyone else look like amateurs. We will prob never see a fighter like that again.

Come on Anderson was 36, of course he had lost a step. And he lost to Weidman due to toying around like a retard, he easily stuffed all of Weidman’s takedowns when the second round started and Weidman was a slower, gassed version of Forrest Griffin and started missing every punch out there leaving himself fully open to get KO’ed and that made Anderson take his clowning to another level and he paid the price for it. Weidman was the easiest guy he faced, tailormade for him to mock.

A slow, forward moving wrestler, with no gass tank and bad stand up. Basically a smaller version of Forrest Griffin…

Nobody fckn with peak Fedor, Anderson, GSP, Chuck, Machida, Jones, Cain, Aldo, or BJ.

Period.

Man trt vitor was a scaaary dude , but I would have to say rich Franklin. No I’m jk, Prob khabib and this is coming from a person who didn’t like khabib at the time. The way he beat guys and just steam rolled them was a sight to behold. His striking wasn’t the greatest but his takedowns and the way he stuck to people and didn’t let them up was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. It reminded me of someone today trying to grapple with a trained Neanderthal. He just looked so strong out there and just would manhandle guys. I think if he was fighting today he would still be undefeated and the champ.

Also gotta say pico jones is up there too . In his peak he made fights look relatively easy against some trained killers. Btw I’m not even a big fan of him. I think he’s a scum bag. I would say fedor but he got caught by a few guys , and was lucky to not have had his neck broken in his peak prime. One inch another way and he would have lost that fight and maybe ended his career. He was a machine but he actually looked human in some of his fights. Jones just made it look easy until maybe once he got to Gustafson. GSP I would def say is up there too.

So I would say
1 khabib
2. Jones
3a gsp
3b fedor

FLW: Mighty Mouse, also GOAT at FLW

BW: Merab... and also GOAT at BW. Better already than Cruz or TJ or Cejudo.

FW: The GOATs are Aldo and Volk, but Ilia is PEAK.

LW: Khabib or Islam. I choose Khabib, because he is smarter and therefore more difficult to be beaten, he doesn't take as many risks as Islam. Also, they say Khabib was better than Islam when they sparred.

WW: GSP, also GOAT at WW.

MW: PEAK - Khamzat. GOAT - Silva

LHW: Jones, although at his peak he couldn't beat Gus, that fight was too close to judge.

HW: Cain, the GOAT is Fedor

Vitor Belfort TRT beats almost any fighter on the planet. He was the closest to finishing Jon Jones.
