Which fighter has the lost the most number of title fights in the UFC?

I've got KenFlo, Sonnen and Colby tied at 3. There are probably others.
Has anyone lost 4 title shots?

If we count losing the title, it's Aldo at 4.
I don't think anyone is at if we include losing the tile.

I think Randy has like 6 if we are counting losing the title:
Josh Barnett, Ricco Rodriguez, Vitor Belfort, Chuck x2, Brock

This includes the times he lost the title as well.


He also has to have the most title shots of all time, if I were to bet on it

Joseph Benavidez lost to DJ twice and Figueiredo twice.

If you count the IC title, Faber lost 4 title fights clean. As did Benavidez.

If we count champs who lost their title, than you can add Max and Joanna with 4 losses as well.

Dustin lost 3 clean. Like you said, there are probably others at 3.

Leaving Uriah losing his last 7 world title fights (and winning just about the rest of his non title bouts in between at least until he got old old)

to be fair i believe Uriah won 5 or 6 Wec Title fights first

Randy has 6 title losses I believe, but 9 wins. Iirc

BJ has 5 title losses and one title draw.

I'll take Joe B topping this with 4 title shot losses. The IC title is more like just a #1 contender's spot.

Whether the fighter previously held the belt, or not.
