Most Powerful MMA images from 2012

I think you guys are missing the point of a 'powerful' image.

[They]Should be a moment that can stand on it's own, elicits strong emotions, quality, and major significance.

the pictures I'm adding -> i'm sure there are better ones from these moments and I'd like to see them, but to me DC's win of the HWGprix, Brock's final fight (like it or not, the man was very consequential), Fedor's loss to Dan Henderson, and Fedor's final fight.

The fact that you guys are dominating this thread with talk over Rousey is proof enough she deserves to be mentioned. Whether you like her/wmma or not- It's a monumental deal. Rousey has been on ESPN's MMA section & Front Page more than any other fighter this year. This is a fact. Irrespective of those who dislike the idea.

This image, whether you think she's attractive or just a push by media pundits, has caused a major interest and upsurge in mma/wmma engine searches. For better or worse it is of major importance/implications for 2012 and on.

Same way Aldo got his UFC belt.

Yeah? and that wasnt all that respectable then, what was respectable was when he defended the tittle against Hominick. A top guy in the division, who was on a five fight streak at the time in a top organisation.. 6k posts and u cant figure that out LOL..

Already explained my point. Read it if you care. Post count burn:icon_cry2

Messed up on the first one so I'll add this:
Big underdog Cung Le shocks the world and sherdog when he shows he really can compete and win against some of the best!

Crap, December 10 2011. Doesn't count.

It was my personal "holy shit"-moment of the century. Who would have thought mir would actually tap the best submission grappler of pride?

As a Frank Mir fan I would say. Hell yeah!

The awkward ending to a legend's career and one of the best/closest trilogies in the UFC. So many things make this rivalry great to me.

That Aldo pic is amazing. After scanning through the thread I don't think there's much left to be honest. This was a pretty cool moment though.

I imagine there was a fairly huge collective gasp the moment this happened as well.
