Most intimidating fighter past or present?

Not top of list but his clown face entrance would awake childhood nightmares.

What the fuck

why

Prime Fedor when he's standing across the ring from you ready to go.

This.

Facing a guy trying to stare a hole through you doesn't compare to a guy who is so good he knows he doesn't have to resort to intimidation tactics and can't even be bothered with you enough to show emotion.

Hector Lombard.
Melvin Manhoef.
Mark Hunt.
Bigfoot.
Thiago Silva.
Houston Alexander.
Kimbo Slice.
Melvin Guillard.

Crocop and wand in pride were terrifying. I remember watching their fights live and thinking the other guy might not make it out alive.

Agreed.

Also, prime Cro Cop. Just that distant, cold stare...

"Ohhhhhhhhhhh boy!"

I think that staredown cements Pride era Cro Cop as the most intimidating fighter ever. Wand was a true beast, but Cro Cop was a stone cold killer.

Also, if you go back to that era when he was taking people's heads off it would be really, really difficult to put anyone above him. With Fedor there was a reasonable chance at getting armbarred, at least, No such luck with Cro Cop. He was going to keep it standing and he was looking to kick your head clean off.

Pride Wanderlei. Scary as it gets.

I remember I thought Karlos Vemola was a scary mofo for awhile

Coleman during his original UFC run.
