Wandy was the most intimidating fighter by far due to his unbridled violence in the ring and his demeanor out of the ring
 
Alexander Emelianenko back when he had those stars on his shoulders and knees. I'd be scared to mess with the dude for fear of pissing off the Russian mob.
 
Cmon several pages and there is no mention of this? No one wants to fight this guy after seeing this!

Aura is a huge part of intimidation, not just dirty looks.
 
For MMA it's Wand by far... for fighting it's Mike Tyson and there's no other guy even close in terms of intimidation. Wand is scary but not Mike Tyson scary.
 
I think Pride-era Wanderlei used intimidation as part of his overall game better than any other fighter before or since.

As for who I'd be the most intimidated to stand across from in the cage, it'd have to be Rousimar Palhares, knowing that there's the very real possibility that you leave the cage crippled for life. It's like a pit bull learned how to do a heel hook.

The other guy must have been terrified being chased around by him like that.

Michelle Waterson and Corey Hill are terrifying as well.
 
Man the smashing machine gets no love here. That dude was intimidating. Huge wrestler guy would just take you down and maul you.
 
Fedor, Cro Cop and Wandi.

Cro Cop & Wandi are easy to understand why.
But Fedor, a LOT of fighters described his demeanor was so cold that people got afraid of it.

As for today, I'd say it was Anderson Silva (pre-Weidman) and Jon (pre-Gus).
Those two were unstoppable and unpredictable.
Now they look more "human" and while I do think that Jon can go back to that aura (if he beats Glover & Gus), with Silva it's probably lost.

I would add Aldo (pre UFC) and Barao.
But Aldo is losing it (if he keeps playing safe to a decision) and Barao does not get the respect he deserves (but probably will if he beats Faber once more)
 
Not top of list but his clown face entrance would awake childhood nightmares.

PRIDE Wand had most of the MMA world terrified of him for about a 5 year stretch. Not just afraid of losing, but afraid of getting seriously hurt.
