Most beautiful place that you've visited in person?

Another place I went to in 2005 was Moraine Lake, in British Columbia, Canada.

I lost my main photo I took but it was JUST like this, and from almost the same location. Water is stupidly turquoise, just incredible. It's that way due to 'rockcrush'. Actually better than the slightly more famous Lake Louise which is not that far away.

Moraine Lake is in Alberta.

I was in the rockies this summer and the water really does look like that.

You can walk up and take pretty much this exact photo.

somewhere in colorado springs while driving through colorado in late october about 20 years ago. it was beautiful, everywhere you looked there was people doing things from mountain climbing, to hiking, river rafting it was nuts. that aside the scenery was incredible. river, lakes, mountains, all the different colors of autumn it was a lot to take in. we went from we are going to drive through colorado as fast as possible to we are staying in colorado tonight. we stayed at some random motel in this nice town down by a lake next to a mountain side where the main highway we were traveling on was at... i never wanted to leave.

I've driven up and down the Overseas Highway in the Florida Keys to Key West and back. The pictures don't really do it justice. Imagine clear, turquoise water on all sides of you as you float down the road...

I've been to cities like Paris and Rome and seen the sights there. Just beautiful cities overall but there are specific scenic attractions like Montmartre and the famous basilica atop the hill or the Trevi Fountain.

I've been to the Pont du Gard in the South of France. A famous Roman aqueduct. Truly a marvel of its time and eternity...

I've been to the Palace of Versailles outside of Paris. The gardens and the palace itself. Incredible.

I've walked the Promenade de Anglais in Nice. So many beautiful buildings and nature and people. And then you can go for a dip in the warm waters with the rocky beaches with no sand... I actually stayed there several nights right on the beach in the heart of the action...

I've also been to Fiji, the remote island country in Oceania. Lots of natural beauty there and aquatic activities such as diving. I specifically stayed on the island of Taveuni while I was there, and one of the things we did there is visit the Tavoro waterfalls.

Anyway, I've been to A LOT of beautiful places around the world and it's really hard to list them all and be really specific but I'm from Boston, lived in Washington, D.C. area and Miami area. Visited London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Amsterdam, Nice, Venice, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Austin, Atlanta, Houston, Marseille, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Montpelier, Florence, etc.

I've done the overseas highway down to KeyWest many times. 7mile bridge!!

it's a terrific drive, superbly scenic and I always had a fun time heading there from Homestead, down thru Marathon, Islamorada, onto Key West. Great memories.

Zadar, Trieste, cave in Slovenia that I forget the name of, Indonesia volcano that I forget the name of, Portland Maine.

I came to say this! I used to stay on a boat in the keys. Emerald bay was my favorite spot. We used to camp in the tea house

It was incredible. After having to park nearly half a mile away to hike up to the top among a shit ton of people, I was like what the hell are all these people doing here? Met some locals at the bar that night and they said "well, you were in one of the most photographed places on earth" haha, I had no clue.

Tahoe is beautiful, especially in winter. My favorite is the top of diamond peak near incline village

It really is gorgeous. Although I'd be terrified driving those mountain roads in the snow. There were no guard rails and I could see thousands of feet down next to me. I met a farmer at a brewery and he said he drives from CA to pick up spent grain for his animals regularly. I said how the hell do people drive these roads in the snow? His answer was "very carefully..."

One of the notable experiences in beauty I have had was at the Winter Palace and Hermitage in St. Petersburg. The Hermitage is full of looted Nazi art that the Soviets liberated after WWII. It was an amazing experience.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I went there when they were still called the U.S.S.R. That added an extra layer to the experience. Guys with AK-47s everywhere was a trip. KGB "chaperones," etc.

Maybe Emerald Bay lookout in Tahoe.
We used to camp up there sometimes. There was a great free camping spot up at the top of high point near a small waterfall. Absolutely beautiful. Tahoe is a magical place.

WhiteHaven Beach, in the Whitsunday islands, Queensland, Australia.

astonishing. The sand is so fine, it squeaks when you scuff your foot along it. I tried it and it does.
100% unspoilt, you can only go there by seaplane or charter boat. ZERO litter, it's just an incredible place.

Ah! I’ve been there to. It was the best trip of my life.
