More important: Elon Musk or Neil Degrasse Tyson

Not sure I'd say it to his face.

he's almost 70yo you gigantic pussy

But at least he's not some bumfuck Bezos using all his billions on TRT.

Its only a matter of time before Elon goes through his physical self improvement arc. Something that all public facing billionaires do. Technically Elon has already partially done this with his hair plugs.

It was a joke you gigantic moron.

Hes 53 and been rich a long time. Don't count on that...

Two instances happened that started pushing him towards that. First was his vacation pic in Monaco(?) and the other was when he embarrassed himself with calling out Zuckerberg.

He has clearly lost weight over the past year. So he's probably back on Ozempic.

You're reading too much into it imo...

Elon by a mile but it's two individuals without much overlap so it's not really comparable.

Elon vs Bezos vs Bransen vs Kam is more apt in the context of applied astrospace eng

I'm aware of the dark forest hypothesis but I wasn't aware there was a book or show on it

I also think it's entirely possible that alien species do interact with each other but would look at humans as not worth bothering with.
The theory is that as soon as any civilization is found it must be destroyed because there are finite resources in the universe and any civilization on a long enough time scale is a threat.

Great series.

The second book suffers from poor translation.

One thing I do respect is Elons ambition. He is not afraid to take risks with his money, unlike most billionaires who sit on their cash like scrooge mcduck.

I don't agree with Mars however. I believe we can still do plenty here on Earth, but again, I understand his drive to get there. It's a legacy thing and he knows that if he pulls it off, he would be known as one of the greatest people in human history.
- Scrooge Mcduck always risked his life and fortune, going on crazy adventures with Launchpad McQuack thought!

How about Musk vs Gates for the partisanship?

Gates made the personal computer mainstream and changed the World. I use MS Office every single day. The PC is still king. Microsoft is still what a top 3 company in the World? Hard to argue with that. Elon maybe has a chance to surpass that if SpaceX can get a person to Mars or maybe the fully self driving cars or another breakthrough. Way better matchup than the OP.

The two aren't mutually exclusive we don't have to give up on Mars to get things done on Earth. One argument I find annoying is those saying we should be focused on eliminating global poverty before spending money another cent on space exploration which is a pathetic loser mentality, we'd have never achieved anything if everyone thought like that. I don't think it's purely just for legacy either, humans really need to pull the finger out and take steps towards creating a self sustaining human colony outside of Earth which is probably going to take centuries. If humans fail to do this their days are numbered (I think the odds are already against us), we need a backup planet.
