The first one seems risky but I can see it benefiting his vertical leap for something like a flying knee. The rest seem okay. He's training with Nick Curson, a disciple of the Marinovich brothers. They turned BJ Penn into a beast, and he turned RDA into one. I'm not saying everything he's into is perfect, but his results seem to indicate that he knows at least a little bit about what he's doing.
The whole Cain thing wasn't because it was goofy but because the exercise was "dangerous", these are pretty effective training methods that Kings MMA have been utilizing lately
Uh...that's the same S&C coach who has gotten RDA into his best shape yet using Marinovich's methods which, while unorthodox, have certainly proven to have merit.
Cain's trainer uses flat out stupid methods like 20+ rep sets with 200 lb kettlebell swings and high rep, high speed leg extension sets - absolutely stupid exercises to perform with that kind of load in that kind of manner.
They're worlds apart as far as "goofy workouts" go.
