1. Islam is a well rounded fighter who can win against another well rounded fighter, a top wrestler or a top striker.
Israel is lucky that MW's best wrestler is Vettori, a guy with not much skill.

2. When it comes to entertainment, Islam brings it... even on the ground where he goes for submissions.
Israel had very boring fights vs Cannonier and Israel.

3. Some may claim that Volk vs Islam was close, but I would say Rob vs Israel 2 was even closer

Clearly a few dick riders for izzy in here arguing black is white when debating who is more complete or well rounded (not who has the best resume). But not even I think you meant Israel had a boring fight with Israel?

I'm not particuarly a fan of islam but i would say I'm an Izzy Supporter. He's a guy who did everything right as a champion and deserves nothing other than celebration and praise.

But no, Izzy's MMA game is far less complete than Islam's. MW is a very different Landscape and Lacks well rounded fighters. The most well rounded MW IMO, Is Dricus or Allen.

Oliveira has lost plenty of times though, He's also been submitted multiple times. Even in Many of Charles wins of his best run he face much adversity. Volk while a great fighter is not a LW and when prepared, gave islam everything he could handle.

not sure why you brought up vettori, as Izzy beat him with the utmost ease, twice. Izzy Still beat Costa when he was undefeated, Whittaker never lost at MW before losing to Izzy twice, Izzy's competition is much much better than Islams.

Robert is his only quality win, Costa never was elite and never was on Volk's level as a fighter, or Oliveira, or Poirier

Islam had a competitive fight against someone who I think has similar ground skills and lesser striking skills in Portier when compared to Izzy.

I don't think it's a given Islam beats Izzy at the same weight. You can argue Izzy is a better Portier.

The hate that Izzy got as a fighter was so stupid. Im not one to say people have to love a fighter outside the cage, but in the cage the guy was everything you need in a Champ: active, taking on all challengers, took a loss and came back to win it, skilled striker, and he had popular appeal at least online and I think he was slowly breaking into the mainstream as well.

Islam is more well-rounded, so I guess that means more complete. However, the most "complete" fighters aren't always the best. There are fighters who were/are more well-rounded than Khabib or Anderson Silva but didn't accomplish as much--nor could they have beaten all of the same opponents.

We concur.

Being a "complete" fighter is no guarantee of success.

As you point out, I think the very best fighters are specialists in something, then "rounded."

Islam is a grappling specialist, Izzy a striking specialist.

If they were the same weight class, I would favor Izzy, because I don't think Islam is as great a grappler as Khabib, and I think prime Izzy would keep it standing and outstrike him.
