Amazing he came out for the next round. Not only that, he finished the fight strong and won.

His resolve was unreal. Definitely a hard fought and deserved win.

Bisping is the great fighter but I no hespect Herb Dean.. I go look for Mario Yamasaki next time i'm fighting.
This is no good for my legacy and my fans... MMA is the great tradition but now I see corruption same in my country.. same in Brazil.
 
It was nearly a 4 minute break before the action resumed.

If Silva didn't try to honey-dick the win by calling the fight himself, Bisping was done. If it was a proper 1 minute break I think he wouldn't have made the bell.

Lol it was barely longer than a minute and if Anderson hadn't caused a riot in the cage the cutman would have worked on Bisping and his face might not have gotten out of control the way it did
 
Sorry to say but arrogance cost Anderson in that fight.

Guy can't help himself.
 
those front kicks to the face in round 5 were vicious too... can't question bisping's will to win

Yeah man, he had to land another shot to finish the fight, but the bell rang and he tried to honey dick us all. No one can convince me he didn't know the fight was not over when he jumped on the cage. Then he dances around for the whole start of the next round. Was weird as hell.

I was exaggerating when I said '4 minute break' but was curious how long it really was after reading your post. I just timed it with a stop watch and clocked 1:57. The actual time from the knee to 'action' is a little longer but I gave it a Mississippi on both ends because it usually does run long.

Suffice to say double the amount of time to clear your head after getting knocked down like a sack of potatoes is a big deal in MMA.

Silva made a huge error trying to call the fight on his own and gave Bisping double the time to recover.
 
Anderson shouldn't have pulled that crap. Should have got back to his corner. Sit down. Rest up. Go back in there and finish Bisping. Instead he gave bisping 3:47 minutes to recover.

100% Silva knew what was going on. Herb was yelling at him then he decides to jump up on the cage and literally argues with an official telling him to get down, the fight is still going. When he fakes the 'what?' on the cage it is cartoonishly acted.

He made a huge error in judgement taking that risk.

Unless my iPhone is playing tricks on me, I just clocked it at 1:57
 
What? Silva didn't continue fighting and the round ended. But, he deserves some props for continuing to fight

Maybe it was 1:57. Still. That's double the time. Plenty to recover from a near KO. Anderson didn't capitalize on it and it cost him. Oh well this is a nice little feather in Bispings cap. And a nice gift from Anderson.

Agreed on all points.

Silva rolled the dice and lost trying to call the fight by pretending he didn't know what was going on. Herb had none of it and it meant Bisping got an extra minute to clear his head.

Bisping gets marked as a W over Anderson Silva, which means little now, but 20 years from now it might trick some people reading it on Wikipedia, not taking in context that this 40 year old, long layoff, broken leg, twice defeated by Weidman Silva isn't the same guy everyone feared 5 years ago.
 
Silva probably cost himself the fight by giving Bisping 3~4 minutes to recover.
