it really is a delight to have him.

the guy just keeps delivering the goods, and he keeps a busy schedule. the rest of the boxing world should aspire to be like the monster.

This is a bad fight. It's one of those good on paper but horrible everywhere else. Picasso has done absolutely nothing to sugest he is ready for this. Every time a mention of this fight happened I rolled my eyes and hoped it wasn't real. Picasso is not very good right now but has the potential to become better. Fighting a bunch of random dudes in Mexico then fights a japanese dude with a 5 loss record and all of a sudden he gets to fight Inoue?

My main problem with this is Picasso could be someone in the future with correct coaching an dedication. A fight vs Inoue can erase that for good.
Getting a taste of the best boxer when you're only 25 is usually a good thing, both for experience and wallet. If he can't handle a loss, much less one to arguably the best fighter, then he never had it in him to be great.

Fighting Inoue when you're at Picasso's stage of his career is a privilege. A gigantic one.

These lighter divisions are a joke. Just can crushers, while fan boys cheer them on as p4p.

Well. I completely disagree. It’s not a Itauma vs Usyk situation. That one is interesting on paper and a privilege indeed. Picasso vs Inoue is shit and he has nothing to offer at this stage of his career. It’s simply not a good fight. Of course
Picasso will take it because it’s his biggest payday but his chin may be fucked for good after this fight.

You say this every time and are proven wrong every time. Inoue is top 3 pound for pound.
Stop hating because you dont follow a weight class. Just makes you look like a bitter asshole.

I get proven wrong on what?

The fact that the lower weight classes are inferior in some way. I dont think I've ever seen you speak positively of fighters in the lower weight classes despite any accomplishments they achieve. Someone like Nonito Donaire, for instance, has a great resume and a lengthy, storied career. He's a lock for the HOF and one of the modern greats in the lower weight classes. Inoue looks to be on that route as well.
A great fighter is a great fighter, regardless of weight class.

How was I proven wrong they are inferior? How many 120lb men do you see walking around in your life? The fighter pool is shallow compared to other divisions and the opponents the top guys fight are usually cans. Inoue been fighting cans the last 2 years yet fan boys calling him p4p.

This is why you're laughed at on here. Inoue is a first-ballot HOFer. Is Bam Rodriguez a can as well? He just scored a one-punch highlight reel KO over an undefeated champ in his last fight.

Honestly for as great as Inoue is, Tapales, MJ, Picasso, Doheny, Kim Joon and Cardenas havent been a murderers row. He needs this Nakatani fight and then to move up and face Ball/Espinoza.

He'll get the Nakatani fight as long as both win their fights next month. It'll happen next year. This is the latest Ring Magazine cover already promoting it.

I know, if Inoue wins that and Nick Ball beats Figueroa, I think itd be the perfect transition to the second the half of the year and introduction to Featherweight for him. But he needs bigger wins now, hes in his prime and has a couple peak years left before he wants to get out.

That's the plan going forward. Get bigger wins. One of them will end up as a signature win on his resume. The highest he'll go is featherweight but that's fine. He's already climbed up a bunch of divisions.

I agree, Featherweight should be his ceiling. Nakatani and Fulton would be two huge wins over undefeated champs. Maybe the Bam Rodriguez fight formulates down the road but I doubt it. Regardless, taking Ball and Espinozas 0s would be impressive.

Inoue could still lose to Nakatani though.

He was honest about featherweight being his ceiling. If he continues to move up in weight eventually he's going to lose. There has to be a cut off. He's just not big enough to be fighting at junior lightweight or lightweight. I don't care to see him spank Fulton again but I do like the Ball & Espinoza fights for him at featherweight. His plan will be to fight all of the champs there to become a three-division undisputed champ. He'll fight them all. Whoever holds the straps. I think a Bam fight is inevitable provided that they both keep winning. They could easily meet at a catchweight of around 120 lbs. Yeah, he could lose to Nakatani but he'll be the favorite to beat him with the bookies.
