Multiplat Monster Hunter World

Not in mission, you can only bring up to the item cap for potions and what not. You can increase that capacity by bringing the components along. Like you can only have 10 mega potions, but if you can bring 10 extra Potions + 10 Honey and craft them in mission.

Other things that are handy that will help clear tough initial hunts are the flash bang ammo for your arm cannon thingy. Shoot them in the face and they go blind for a good bit, locking them down and opening them up for some free damage. If it's a flying beast and you get them in the air, they come crashing down and it acts like a knock down.

You can also bring 2 of each trap, so you can have 2 shock traps and 2 net traps, then components for 2 more of each for a total of 4 of each trap. The traps immobilize the monster for a good chunk of time for some great burst damage. I haven't done much of this in MHW, but in previous MH games, the more traps you used the faster they broke out so you get a little bit of diminishing returns on the effectiveness. But if you just have a tough hunt you're trying to clear, these are good ways to get the upper hand and cheese out a win.

I stated it in an earlier post, but Anjanath went down pretty easy using the poison Long Sword from Pukei-Pukei. Once you apply the effect it's a constant damage over time poison damage. As long as you keep the pressure on, you can keep the effect active.

Also, don't forget to hit up the Canteen prior to each quest to add to your HP/Stamina and other effects like Attack Up. You lose the effect if you get KO'd, but there is a Canteen at your camp if this happens.
I think I have the poison effect. What’s all this ammo I’m crafting? For the slinger or one of the ranged weapons? Sticky ammo, piercing, etc

Friend just convinced me to download this. I haven’t gotten into a game in like a year. I really shouldn’t be playing any since I’m so busy doing clinicals for school and still working but fuk it who needs sleep?

There are 2 different types of ammo. One is for the bow(piercing/Slash/etc), the other is for your Slinger. If you're not using a bow you don't have to worry about crafting that. The Slinger ammo you can be found in mission like barriers and rocks for getting the monster attention, but you can also have specialized ammo like the Flash Bangs. It takes 2 Flash Bugs to make 1 Flash Slinger Round.

In the botanical research area you can essentially set it up to grow certain resources from you inventory, like Honey or Herbs and you get a set amount each mission. I have mine set up to spit out Flashbugs so I don't have to take a break to specifically hunt down that resource.

Is this game eve worth getting on a normal PS4? Or should I get a PS4 pro. I hate Skyrim type sloppy clunky frame rates

Gear and weapon are now level 3, hope to see a difference here

Charge blade is as good as advertised. With my hatchets it would take 5-10 minutes to kill a great jangras, just destroyed one in 2 minutes

Have the full Tobi-Kadachi set and the Blazing hammer, i was fucking around in the Wastes getting Wing drake hides and came across a Barroth, decided to fight it and absolutely blitzed it only took like 3-4 mins, it didn't even get to escape to another area. it's awesome gradually getting more powerful then going back to fight things that gave you trouble before.

I have my Palico in the Pukei-Pukei set and its poisoning monsters at least twice a fight which is great. I'm gonna switch back to the poison hammer once i can upgrade it and have the Rathian armour to bolster the poison.

Does anyone know what ore i'm looking for? it's the one after Dragonite, i thought it would be in the Coral area but i haven't found any nodes yet.

There are 3 nodes on the Coral Highlands that I know of to get the Coral Ore. There is a narrow stretch from Zone 8 to 10. You'll end up climbing 2 cliff faces, keep going until the path dips. Inside that dip has a Ore node. In Zone 10, there is a giant multi level cave, on the bottom floor there is a tiny hole you can climb through that has a tiny path that leads into another cave structure. There are 2 nodes in this cave. One right out in the open, and another on a small ledge. I farmed these 3 nodes for few expeditions to get the Coral Ore I needed for my Rathian Long Sword.

Excellent thanks.

I also put the Pukei Pukei on my Palico and was pleasantly surprised that he poisoned the Barroth I was fighting.

Monster Hunter World is officially the best selling game in the series, and it's only been out for 4 days.

Monster Hunter: World Breaks Five Million Units Shipped in Three Days

Monster Hunter: World is off to a great start on PS4 and Xbox One, as the title is now the series' best-selling game with five million units shipped.

Capcom announced today that Monster Hunter: World has shipped five million copies across PS4 and Xbox One (a figure that also includes digital download sales on both platforms), and has now set the series’ record as its fastest-selling title ever since the series first debuted back in 2004.

I'm really glad MHW is turning out ot be a big success. I've wanted a proper console release for years and thought it would do well to tap into the Dark Souls crowed.

Anjanath is the cheapest enemy I’ve come across so far. Beat it’s ass for 8 minutes, made it move locations 3 times and got one shot with the cheap fucking fire. Going online to kill this bitch. I don’t have time for bullshit like that.

Alright, took down the anjanath. Huge assist from the Rathalos, they were having a turf war and the Rathalos beat the shit out of the anjanath for me. Watching other people attack it, I think I’m missing key points to the combat, like bombs and traps and shit.

Stopped fucking around with side quests and went back to the main story. Downed a Legiana, it was probably one of my most efficient fights. Has a decent weakness to fire so I'm sure that helped.

Quest also helped me hit rank 9 and unlock a new upgrade tier. Think it's time for a new set and weapon.

Are side quests necessary for leveling purposes or just there for fluff?

I just want to thank Dark Souls for making this game just a little easier.

Some of them can unlock ingredients for the canteen so you can get better buffs for meals.

Incase you need any more i found a cave in zone 11 in Coral Highlands with like 7 nodes. it's the cave with the waterfall in it.
