Monster Hunter...Enlighten Me

Yeah, I went through the first few ranks of the game alone and then caved in and bought live.

I just prefer co-op gaming. It just adds something to it.

I have 300 hours into the game and I've only come across one toxic player, which is pretty impressive.
Yeah no competitive play, traditionally a small player base in the West, and the steep difficulty have created a pretty supportive community. It's pretty unique.

It is hands down, the cheapest, FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT thing in ANY game I've ever played.

And nobody answers my SOS.

Nobody.

I finally got past that uragaan and took out nergigante with a little SoS help. Gonna get on tomorrow to chip away and find some of these elder dragons.

I’m also thinking about trying a different weapon, I haven’t mixed it up too much. I might try LBG or HBG, not sure which one yet

My grind to get to iceborne has been coming along nicely, I tracked all 3 elder dragons today and killed kushala. Still have to take out teostra and Vaal but I’m not too worried, my gear is good against fire and dragons so I should be ok.

Hopefully I will beat them tomorrow, then take out that final monster this weekend and start up iceborne!

New update features adult Xeno siege with weapon rewards that give you at least one of your equipped type(fuck you Kulve) as well being able to customize skills for the weapon e.g. Teostra technique, critical element etc.

This is gonna shake up meta builds a fair bit.

I just picked up Generations Ultimate, now I just got to get a Switch after work.

I just finished a recon of it.

Aside from it having hard armour and the bit at the end that reminds me a lot of Behemoth, it doesn't seem too bad.

New Zinogre wasn't a problem.

Rajang is pure horror.

Stygi Zinogre HBG is a direct upgrade to the Zinogre HBG so if you like spread ammo make sure you farm for it. The rest of the weapons are mediocre and the armor is shit.

I bought and started up iceborne today, it took me forever to kill that damn Beo lol me and another guy it took probably 35-40 minutes. Granted it was only my second time using the HBG but I felt like I was doing massive damage the whole time.

I broke 5 pieces off of it before we even had him limping and we STILL didn’t kill him, we captured him instead. I’m excited about it tho, I didn’t want it to be easy lol

Just had a go at Safijiva.

Aside from wyverns fire, cluster and poison, ranged seems to be really weak on it.

With that said, I don't want to risk being cut away from a crag when he hits that Independence Day move.

I may try hammer next.

Front legs seem weak to slash damage so I've been doing savage axe with charge blade on it. The loot is legit. I already have a more powerful CB than anything you can craft and I've done like 4 completions

Nice. I may invest in a long sword, which I used to play a lot with MHFU but never with MHW.

Looking forward to the loot. Looks immense from the description.

I started training again so i'm not too rusty when Iceborne releases. Already got carted by a Kulu so i'm definitely in need of practice. Thought i may aswell throw myself in the deep end and pick a fight with Behemoth. Which is a monster i haven't fought before.

Never fought Behemoth? You've been missing out on the best armor in base game

Just completed my first Safi seige. Didn't kill it though.

Picked a Safi blast hammer and a Safi water gunlance.

Put all of my dracolite into storing potential, but I'm wondering what storing potential actually does...

Behemoth fucked me in the ass. Could hardly do anything with the non stop tornado bullshit.

Storing potential makes your future rolls have a better chance at being good. But generally you want to just put any 5 abilities on the weapon so you have a chance to overwrite or replace them

Safis HBGs have been quite underwhelming so far, with nothing to replace my Franz Glacia or Loyal Thunder.

Picked up a nice looking Para Lance though, and I'm hoping to collect the elemental Gunlance set.

I'll be doing this for a while.

Wish I could add shot types as an ability...

You can't? I've seen people add spread capacity but maybe that's only if it's already an ammo the gun uses.

I haven't seen that yet, but when messing around, I just saw things like attack and defence up, and some armour skills. My issue with the HBGs is that the ammo loadouts seem to be underwhelming.
