Fucking shits me, people just think the world is their phone booth these days. I'm currently in a cafe and the fuckhead next to me is talking and laughing away to one of his douche bag friends, not a care in the world, we all have to listen to his conversation. And this is the norm these days from what I can tell. I just had a work related call but i went outside to take it, am I old fashioned?

Yeah it annoys me to no end.

Nobody cares about your damn conversation. Keep it to yourself. The world seems full of exhibitionists

I hate that...lol

in happens a lot. invest in headphones. they're a life-saver, especially if you take public transport.

I think douche bags who do that they do it on purpose. They have conversations with the loudest voice possible so everyone can hear them. I try and take my conversation away from everyone. It's private and no one wants to hear it. I don't want everyone to know what I'm talking about. Even if in I'm talking to a plumber, it's no-one else's business.

Yeah it exist. If you call me and I am in a public place and you are just to have a casual conversation with me I'll tell you I am busy and I call you back or I tell them to text me. But I am not going to have an extended conversation about nothing around a bunch of people.

When I am on the Metro bus I still get fooled into thinking some one is talking by themselves when infact they are on the phone using a headset.

One time I thought this hot chick was talking to me.

The worst ones are the ones who have work conversations in a loud voice too, deep and animated discussions and using all the buzz terms like "synergy", "low hanging fruit", "going forward", "turnkey solution", fuck them.

Yeah well I had a great pair of noise cancelling headphones, they were great at airport lounges where mobile phone etiquette does not exist AT ALL. Unfortunately I left them on a plane while drunk, devastated.

If you are being micro-aggressed OP you should respond with a macro-aggression.:D

Lol over here in Sydney, its always the bogans having loud conversations on their damn phones.

1. Do not talk or text on your phone when you're having one on one dinner with a date. Unless the call is extremely important, do not pick it up. If you absolutely must, apologize to your date after.

2. If people sitting 3 meters away from your can clearly hear what you're saying, you're too loud on your phone.

3. Keep away from your phone when you are driving. That shit is more dangerous than drunk driving.

Yeah, but if he were just texting, you'd be bitching about how nobody actually. Apps anyone any more, and how everything is just text.

Big time.. worst is when you're out on a date and the bitch can't stay off her phone.

I hate it because I don't want to hear their conversation. I also go outside or away from a crowd because I don't want people hearing my conversation.

I approve of your correct use of the accent aigu in étiquette.

I got a friend who does kinda the opposite. Every time he calls you he's having a conversation with someone in person and you can hear it but he doesn't respond or acknowledge you for awhile. I don't understand why he doesn't call you after he finishes talking to them it drives me crazy now I just hang up

People have a right to talk in public (even if it is to a device). You also have the right to talk back loudly. Comment on their conversation, maybe interject with a line or too.
I always stare at the people talking through headphones and ear pieces, when they're not even holding up a device it really is just like they are broadcasting there thoughts to the world. Keep giving them the "me, are you talking to me?" Look and internally laugh as their panicked eyes flick around trying to indicate that no, they didn't mean me.

I sort of agree with some of your points. But how is someone having a conversation on a phone while sitting in a cafe, any different then the person having a conversation with someone they are sitting with at a cafe?

I mean using your logic there should be no talking at all in cafes. Just to clarify if someone is talking super loud or swearing etc. I agree thats not really cool, but the same thing can happen (and does) with two or more people havingg a face to face conversation.

I mean stay off your phone in theatres, or while someone is public speaking etc. But a cafe? As I pointed out earlier how is it any different then a normal conversation?

I would just eat my food and give it no thought. But thats just me.

Fill that cafe with uppercuts

Lmao I hate when it when you can hear them talk. My dad does it all the time in public on speakerphone so you can hear the other person too.
