MMA wrestlers

All the pre-fight footage still had it billed as "The Battle of the Canadian Super Heavyweights." Too bad they never rescheduled that, because I think that would have been an awesome fight. Although with his wrestling credentials, plus the fact that Goodridge always struggled against wrestlers not named Paul Herrera, I would have picked Beneteau by takedown / ground-and-pound within the first five minutes.

I think you're right on buddy, by the way I wish they would make up their minds about Gary, sometimes he's billed as Canadian and sometimes from Trinidad.

help me out u Yankee Doodlers , i've always wondered what an All American is ,
ie: Brock Lesnar is a 2 time all american ??

what does it mean ?
if his mum and dad are Americans, does that make him an all american , lol
that was a lame joke btw, but still i'm interested to know
Any wrestler finishing in the top 8 at the NCAA Nationals is an All-American.

In his two years as a D1 Wrestler, Lesnar was a runner-up and a National Champ.

? how so? credentials wise he isn't close

First - it sounds like the guy is stating an opinion. 2nd - you can't compare diff weights and years, because sometimes there are a hell of a lot better guys in one weight in one year than any other time frame or weight class. Also, if you don't adjust your takedowns to MMA, it doesn't matter, taking a guy down to only end up in a guillotene or guard is not smart, or exciting.

You missed Paul Herrera in the intial list, AA at Nebraska, way better as a pure wrestler than Tito. I've seen him take down Tito and Chuck regualarly in the room, who are younger and a hell of a lot bigger

I have always wondered this and it seems like this is the best thread to ask in....

what is Rampages wrestling background????

does he even have a wrestling B/G???

there is no way you can argue that Kos is the best wrestler in mma. lindland is far better, not to mention all of the other Olympic medalists

Thanks and it just shows how important to have some wrestling ability is in mma.
