I've rolled through this thread and I didn't see Reese Andy mentioned on here. I figured I'd throw him up since he was an NCAA D-1 Place winner for the Wyoming Cowboys.

I noticed other NCAA place winners mentioned. Excellent thread ... albeit I'm a little late to it. But keep wrestling alive and keep supporting it.

Wrestlers hop around to an INSANE extent (regarding weight). Not that it's a good idea. But that's just 12 under what he gets to for MMA.

I have UFC 9 on tape (shows how long I've had the damn thing!) and I remember them saying that Beneteau had busted his hand the day before the fight while sparring with Shultz. It was the morning of the fight that Shultz stepped up and agreed to fight. If I remember right, I think he was a coach at BYU at the time and almost lost his job over that (hence why we regrettably never saw him back in the UFC).

All the pre-fight footage still had it billed as "The Battle of the Canadian Super Heavyweights." Too bad they never rescheduled that, because I think that would have been an awesome fight. Although with his wrestling credentials, plus the fact that Goodridge always struggled against wrestlers not named Paul Herrera, I would have picked Beneteau by takedown / ground-and-pound within the first five minutes.

if his mum and dad are Americans, does that make him an all american , lol
