MMA vs SEAL, who will win??

I don't trust you at all on this one. I've seen Special Forces guys fight. They are better at it than the average Joe, but not nearly so good as they are at using firearms. Pretty much any guy who trains hand to hand combat full time is going to bust up a SEAL in hand to hand combat, and that's pretty much what happens anytime a Special Forces guy fights an MMA guy with the cameras rolling.

Hand to hand combat isn't a point of emphasis win Special Forces training. It is the only emphasis in MA training.

I'm gonna have to agree to disagree

The only thing you've fought is a losing battle to Dementia.

Don't be so upset. I'm sure if Canor tried hard enough he could land a role as a groundbreaking homosexual special forces member in some straight to DVD Irish flick

MMA is basically a competition of cycling properly, weight cutting, point fighting, and scoring impotent takedowns to steal rounds. Sorry but none of that shit will get you very far in an actual fight to the death vs a trained killer

2.5/10

Somebody spiked their Capri Sun a bit too much today.

I've literally never been wrong in my entire life when it comes to streetfighting

Can you perhaps give us some specific examples instead of just saying "trust me, bro"

Now that I've read the whole thread...gonna have to give faustian an 8.5/10...pretty good.

This. MMA fighters train nothing but hand to hand combat. Its just not fair to expe t a Seal to be on the same level in a fist fight.

MMA fighters train for mock combat, SEALs train for combat.

While MMA fighters like to say things like kill or be killed, SEALs train for kill or be killed.

SEALS first step in hand to hand unarmed combat would be to arm themselves, with the best of the best, money is no object weapons.
They'd probably hit you with an air strike before you saw them.

And that about answers your question. If a SEAL was actually into it against an MMA fighter, the MMA fighter is dead. No question in my mind.
Now if you want to add all sorts of rules and make it an MMA fight, that's something else.

Just review the TS post -

Anyway, we do know that during a street fight, anything goes.

Honestly, am I being trolled right now? Is that what's going on itt? Well done if so

Seriously these are two of your most revered sportfighters:

These D-level athletes wouldn't even make it a week into SEAL school and you want them to actually fight SEALs in irl combat scenarios? lmao that's brutally hilarious

I'm 203-0 in streetfights so read it and weep
Cmon dude make that shit a little bit more believable. What about 103-2 or something. Hell even guys who train at my gym show up all beat up and at least say they got sucker punched or jumped by a ton of guys.

That's just my official record. My unofficial record is closer to 700-0

A Navy Seal would destroy any MMA fighter you bunch of fucking idiots. MMA fights have rules.

Some of you MMA bros might want to look up this obscure Russian fellow called Fedor somethingoranother. See, Fedor was a Russian sambo fighter, but there's two kinds of Russian sambo: sport sambo, which is for, ya know, sport, and combat sambo, which is for irl fighting. Fedor was trained in combat sambo (specifically military combat) NOT sport sambo. Guy only went on to become the best MMA fighter of all-time.

Most of Fedor's accomplishments came in an organization that had fixed fights.

It's my understanding that the armed forces don't spend a lot of time on unarmed combat. It's just not that useful in military engagements.

This... armed forces receive basic hth training, special forces a bit more. There are soldiers that devote extrs training at hand to hand but its not their primary focus.

Then again mma fighters train to compete within a specific set of non lethal rules while special forces train to disable and kill.

I would venture there are very few mms fighters that could kill or maim without hesitation; a seal would not hesitate...

Cool. UFC has had fixed fights as well. Doubt you'd be able to fix a streetfight vs a SEAL tho

This thread reminds me of when people thought Bones Jons was going to prison and everyone was all "Jones gonna murk fools in prison" lol because ya because there's rules and shit in prison fights
