MMA Fighters who have torpedo'd their own careers

Lol it's so weird how simple sentences are always such a grueling struggle for Tito. I wonder if it's just like that in front of the camera or it that's how he always is. Imagine how frustrating it would be to live with someone like that lmao

If you listen to interviews and commentary early in his career he was very articulate. I don't know if it's cte related but it very well could be.

I just don't get how he kept being in a position where he had to do any kind of public speaking.

You think he has that much money?
Nate? Allegedly he made millions for fighting Conor. If he doesnt have millions at this point it isn't because his career was bad, it's because he sucks with money.

To be fair,he had a rough upbringing, but jesus hes a terrible public speaker, someone stop him!!!

Paul cheap shot Daley
After the acting job Koscek did, I would have hit him with a metal chair.
Still no excuse, but he was banned because Dana didn’t like him to begin with. That incident gave Dana a 'legitimate' reason to do it.

Babalu. Such a great fighter, but got himself thrown out of the biggest org due solely to ego.

Jason Miller.

At one point the guy had his own show on MTV, was on TUF, and had a chance to really prove himself against Bisping on the biggest stage.

Instead he decided to be a crazy addict and rack up a few felonies.

The LOSERS HALL OF SHAME.

I like it.

Fuck that cheating, lying fuck, Juiced Johny Hendricks.

He can shove 70% of his head up his ass.

I hope this comment is what got you yellowed. Get a grip.

Ben Askren for never having tested himself against the very best guys on earth.
Dana openly said he didnt want askren due to hia style
And askrens mma career has been just fine, champ of 2 major orgs and very well paid for it

There are some great fighters out there who's out of the cage antics or actions have sidelined their successful MMA careers. Some are even champions.

Jon Jones:

Where to start, between his odd hit-and-run where he broke a woman's arm to his testing positive for cocaine and PEDs, Jones is a walking billboard for what not to do.

Nick and Nate Diaz:

I was not a fan of either of these fighters initially but after time did appreciate their flair for the dramatic and out of cage antics. However, these two would rather smoke weed than fight as marijuana is a banned substance they cannot fight when they are smoking it.

Sad, because both are talented and exciting to watch.

Cain Velasquez:

As everyone knows, I'm not a fan of Cain. But Cain could have been one of the best fighters of all time. He had a decent chin with great recovery, great wrestling, solid striking, and cardio for days which is rare for a HW. He was basically a HW Forrest Griffin. Not a lethal ground practitioner or a 1 punch KO machine like Hunt, but he would wear his opponents down and eventually get the TKO whether standing or from GnP. If Cain hadn't caused his own idiotic injuries he would most likely still be champ and could have gone down as the GOAT.

However, Cain is injury prone. And he was not injury prone from fighting or MMA fighting. He was injury prone for the most idiotic of reasons, he was injury prone because of doing very basic weight lifting completely wrong. It's 2018. People have known how to safely lifts weights for decades now so there is no excuse for his improper weight lifting techniques. High School students all over the world know how to safely lift weights, Cain apparently doesn't.

Everyone knows that some weight lifting movements are supposed to be fast and explosive and they know this isn't one of them. It makes me cringe just watching this.

Who are other MMA fighters who derailed their own careers with their out of cage antics or behavior?

Yair got the Yair treatment from Dana for refusing to fight Zabit.

To be fair being crazy is most of the time not a choice.
The man suffers from depressions and other mental issues.
