Andy, if you want to be taken for a ride, that’s your prerogative. Red flags should be raised in your brain when you see the AI-generated picture showing him in federal prison. The story starts with two obvious embellishments—not a good way to set the stage. He leaves out critical details regarding his visa situation, while every line reads like a cinematic script. I don’t have a crystal ball, but it could be that he arrived without a work visa. He might have spent a day in ICE custody before being sent home. He’s probably angry at the U.S. for turning him away. Will he have to provide refunds for the seminar? He's not the first person to report deplorable conditions at ICE detention centres. Why are you downplaying this shit?
This story sells in the current political climate. I think you’re trapped in a vicious cycle. For believers, each story lends credibility to the next. I’m not eager to fall for this stuff just for political wins—left, right, or center. If you want me to believe a story, start with the basics. Was it a paid gig? If so, did he have a proper temporary work visa? What are you advocating for? More funding for ICE facilities? The abolishment of the visa program?
