First ever go ahead home run in a game 7 while trailing by multi runs in MLB history somebody said

He should be good to play the outfield to let Bichette play DH I'm guessing

I remember watching the Phillies-Jays series on one of the only TVs in the valley we lived in. I liked it cause they had the same little red and blue helmet as the guys in my baseball game.

If Balco was still around Ohtani would hit 80.
After watching the MLB Network Greg Maddux TV special, you could see Barry was a thinker. Shohei sometimes looks like he's daydreaming at bat. If a pitcher threw Barry a strike, he'd murder it, while Shohei would take it without swinging.

That said, someone should make a baseball card with Shohei's 10 K, 3 HR boxscore on the back. Surprised I didn't see a Topps Now card of that game.

Umps made the right call on the flying projectile named Naylor. Note he turned his face away from the throw that hit the back of his helmet. Consciousness (?) of guilt.

I don't think he did it on purpose I think the moment he realized he was in the second basemens path he just braced for impact in a natural way

He jumped and turned his back. Total coincidence 🙄
well you dont want to get hit in the face i think it was a reaction to being in a bad spot but i dont think he ran out in front to block the ball, That's called situational awareness

Yeah, it would be pretty diabolical if he actually intended to do that shit, LOL. Think Naylor just got caught in the headlights and spazzed a bit. The right call was made, though.

Anyways, those Jays sure do create some moments in the playoffs. What a perfect script to cap the series. I think we can all get off Hoffman's back as well. Dude has been a rock, and just struck out the side in the biggest save of the year. One walk or hit away from facing Raleigh, no less. Big pressure, no problem.

Dodgers are gonna be pretty tough, but there's no reason to count the Jays out with the way they've been playing in these playoffs. Some hiccups here and there, but they are playing their game. And Bichette is coming back for the series as well. No doubt that the two best teams are in the WS.
