MLB MLB 2025 Season Thread: When half your roster needs a translator

I read SD manager retired because he was creating too much bad blood among his staff and article said he did same thing in St Louis. It said his relationship with a coach was so bad it almost resulted in fist fight. Also said some staff said they'd quit if he stayed, micromanaging, quick temper.

Dodgers spend 90% of their revenue on salary. No other team comes close. Don’t want to ever hear other teams cry about how much the dodgers spend. People should cry about why their owners are so cheap.

They'll probably make the push for Skubal, too, after 2026.

Jays just where they want to be with Gausman on the mound. Fucking Mariners are a bunch of cuck bitches.

Cubs can afford to have a payroll the size of the Yankees, Dodgers and Mets. But the Ricketts family are the cheapest fucks ever.

I guess they think they can somehow recreate a world series roster from their farm system like 2016. But their farm system hasn't been that deep since and probably won't ever be.

I saw the marlins spend 27% of their revenue on payroll. Lots of teams are just owned by cheap owners.

Well, if you look at the NY teams, it's not always a safe bet to splurge. The Yankees haven't won a WS in quite a while, and the Mets are...pathetic. Cubbies did pretty good this year, all things considered. This is one sport where spending isn't necessarily a sure fire way to the promised land. You can have the very best team on paper, and they can take a shit all the same, and watch some poverty team from Florida just kill it all year long.

I say this as a Jays fan who has seen the "experts" predict them being WS favorites/contenders after a few big off-season moves, only to watch the team shit the bed for two or three years, before it clicks a little bit. Sometimes it never clicks. Hitters gotta hit, and pitchers gotta pitch, for like...a million games. Only so much money can do. That slump virus hits you, and you're done.

Fucking Brandon Little. Why Schnieder likes this asshat, is beyond me. It's always a fucking circus with this goof. He may get three outs, but it's never clean. 8th inning with a one run lead, and you bring that fucking guy in? The fuck?

It's over now. Base hit coming up...
