Been watching a lot of Trevor Bauer's content on Youtube lately. Pretty interesting stuff

Lmao at “Trevor Bauer merchandise”

I was watching maybe something on MLB app and they were pointing out Jacob Wilson doesn't walk much or strike out much and batting avg is good.

I suspect Shohei is trying for at least 40-40 again.

With Evan Carter up, I suspect Rangers outfield is in its ultimate form. Dodgers need to quit fooling around with shitty LF.

I can't be the only one who doesn't give a shit about exit velo or launch angle....

Reds are a decent team. They have good pitching and they know it's hard to win games. Grind it out is how they win. I'll win the +1.5 but they are worth a ML bet.

Devers really sounds like not a team player. If you're shittier at defense than the new 3B, you should vacate that position.

There's a lot of nerd shit I don't care about.

War, wrc, ops etc.

Was at a game last year and the stadium had the batting order listed with their ops stats not beating average. Guess the players like the higher numbers when most of them bat under 250 and strikeout frequently

19-0 end of 5th Padres sending Rockies down to Single A

I thought they said some teams emphasize launch angle and exit velo to the minor leaguers because that's what results in the long ball. It's modern day baseball taking advantage of current technology.

Seems like every team has at least one starting position player with complete shit batting avg where you suspect any guy off the street could produce the same results as the big leaguer.

The Rockies hired a woman through MLB's Inaugural Diversity Fellowship Program in 2018 and she was given a promotion to Head Manager of Baseball Research in 2021. This also put her in charge in advanced scouting for the Rockies. In her own words, she credits her college softball experience as a catcher in getting herself to this position, citing the similarities of advanced scouting to calling pitches as a catcher in softball. “I really loved being able to start off an at-bat with a changeup, which is very uncommon, and I could tell which batters I could do that with. Honestly, I can’t tell you how. It’s intuition with that kind of thing. Sometimes it would be the high changeup. I’d give the sign and be like [signing thumb up] to her to steal it right off the top of the zone.”

In short, a literal diversity hire was promoted to Head Manager of Baseball Operations based on collegiate softball experience and women's intuition behind home plate.

Crazy, the Owner too cheap and doesn't want to fix? The division their in dont help either.

Might break last years White Sox loss record.

Yes. The owner is way too cheap and is more focused on spending money for a new party deck as opposed to recruiting and trading for talent. Fans are mixed because Colorado is a loyal sports State and continue to go to games, but many fans are also boycotting because ownership clearly doesn't care. The problem is the possibility that ownership is intentionally letting the team tank so they can use it as an excuse to move the team out of Colorado.

Even the Rockies total payroll is still almost twice as high as the Marlins. o_O
Kris Bryant gonna comeback to dominate any day now

Oh, wait, just sent to the 60 day DL today.... So after that lol

Kris Bryant has played a full 160 game season now, over course of four seasons lol

Some guys that were in the Yankees system said they literally didn't care about K rate, as long as your launch angle and exit velo's were high. We're also in an era where everyone is throwing 95+ and you're likely to see 4 pitchers a game.
