Looks like I gave the sorry ass dodgers too much credit, we beat the line by two days

GO GIANTS!!
Lmao. You sound like an Angel fan celebrating in April.

Damn Vladdy, you're a nice guy. Took $500 million for 14 years. Could've at least got $600 million in free agency and probably more, the way the big boys are throwing money around.

Perfect example of just how shitty Marlins ownership has always been. Another Caribbean player turning down Miami and no state income tax to stay in the land of always winter and get taxed at over 50%.

His agent is probably pissed.

These contracts are getting stupid, though. They're gonna be paying old timers a treasure chest of money, when they're well past their prime. The money is appropriate(in that world anyways). The years are fucking retarded.

I wish I could find the Sports Illustrated from 1970 saying that Pete Rose's $105k a year contract would ruin baseball.

What's whack is the young unproven players getting big extensions. The Tigers had one guy penciled in at 1B and then the incumbent is like what about me? and then puts up way better numbers and retakes his 1B job.

These contracts are from the Steroid era. What I mean by that is these contracts being given out to players who will be high thirties maybe forties when it's over is from that period where guys career would extend into that upper age but that was because of the drugs. Mid thirties is about how long these guys last. I'm a mets fan and he got a 15 year deal I think he will be great for eight of that after that I wouldn't hold my breath on it working out.

That 14 year length deal contract is insane. I thought I could only do that in OOTP Baseball games. lol

That's impressive.

the contracts that Vlad and Joto have gotten makes Goatani's look like a bargain since the dodgers actually make money with all the advertising revenue he generates for him. It's nice to actually have smart people running your team.

He was born in Montreal, he grew up in the DR. Casual confirmed.

When he did move from Canada, he spent half the time in the States, so he's still not 'from' the DR no matter how you square it

I agree with you though who the fuck would pick Canada over South Florida lmao

You're the kind of person who would say that Hulk Hogan isn't from Venice Beach because Terry Bollea was born in Augusta, GA.
