MJ vs Brooks should be next

Will Brooks made his UFC debut last night against Ross Pearson. While he got the W and that's all that matters, I was not impressed with his performance. He even called out the champ (lol) after the fight.

Michael Johnson is currently ranked 8th and unbooked. He has very good striking and good wrestling. Also a fight with ATT's Brooks should generate some heat for the Blackzilian and would be a big opportunity to steal Brooks' thunder.

Johnson defeats the version of Ill Will who fought last night. What do you think of this fight? And if not who would you like to see them fight next respectively.

He got punished in the striking round 3. Pearson was far too inactive in the first 2 rounds had he let his hands go you never know what might have happened.

He got punished in the striking round 3. Pearson was far too inactive in the first 2 rounds had he let his hands go you never know what might have happened.

I like that fight JB, it makes sense and it's a step up for Brooks who's trying to fast track his way to the top.

Tbh Michael Johnson would piece Brooks up on the feet bad, he's a bad matchup for brooks.

These are my thoughts as well. Before Brooks starts talking about fighting for the belt how about beating a top 10 guy first? I hate MMAth but MJ has beaten Tony Ferguson and Barboza. I don't think Brooks defeats either.

MJ vs Ferguson 2 was booked but MJ pulled out and Ferguson was given Khabib then Cucuy pulled out. Now Ferguson is fighting an relatively unknown fighter and MJ is unbooked. Might as well have rebooked the second fight instead of this nonsense.

True. I find it hilarious Tony ripped Khabib for fighting Horcher when he needed to take the fight to get paid. Now Ferguson is fighting an even lesser name. Irony 1, Tony Ferguson 0.

Brooks looked like he had the jitters last night. Watching his fights in Bellator, he can definitely do better than that. I think MJ would be a perfect step, without overstepping.
