Flipping the bird at someone? It requires two external video camera's mounted to the Oculus Rift.

What happened to the treadmill that was originally attached to the Oculus Rift? The "Omni" or whatever it was called. Is that still a part of this VR thing, or has that been phased out?

To be honest, I was way more impressed with that than I was with the VR goggles themselves.

I think the treadmills are a terrible idea.

I tried out the VR headset at the weekend and the person before me left it dripping with sweat, I can't imagine if theyd been using a treadmill as well, the screen would fog up and its just not practical.

I think the treadmills didn't get all the funding they needed anyway.

I would get back into Simulation Racing if this became affordable.
I don't think it will be that expensive and Google is working on the technology. This example a custom api that allows for chroma keying into the game. It may support many more games. Can you imagine a light saber game with the vive and just pant over the controls.

When i was alpha/beta testing for iRacing a pivot occurred with hardware. Logitech wheel/pedal setup i was using became dated and a single monitor setup was a hindrance since all races were conducted from cockpit view. To continue playing at the highest level i was going to need to invest in the new Logitech wheel/pedal setup, two additional monitors and the adapter to run three monitors. Total cost at the time was in the nine hundred dollar range just for those three peripherals.

Hope this would be far less. Though i dont expect it : (
