Miss USA is active duty army

There are plenty of jobs in the army that can be filled by women. For a military, it is actually ideal to have women working those jobs, because it relieves more men for front-line duty.

Sucks for the men of course, but we ought to be used to it by now. When shit actually goes down, it's largely the men that pay the price. Through the good times, the peaceful times, everybody can be happy and equal. Not so much when a war or a catastrophe hits, nobody wants to share the equal burden then.

Oh admittedly I don't follow the Miss USA pageant but thanks for the information. I guess they are going for the waif look now.
 
Active duty?

She is also an IT analyst for the United States Department of Commerce and plans to use her reign as Miss USA to focus on PTSD treatment for soldiers returning from the war."

So... Active duty, but also works for the department of commerce? She's clearly reserve. Edit title or dump.
 
She's cute, but I don't think Miss USA when I see her. Nice body, but the face is where she loses her money.

She's a 1LT in the Reserves (not Active Duty, so can we get the thread title changed?) in a logistics unit. Has she even deployed to a theater of combat? If not, then how would she know what it takes? Shooting an old M16 at her one and only AT is hardly enough to qualify her on what it takes to be a warrior in a war zone.

I read the problem as women being given the false idea that they are physically equal to men in relation to strength which is absolutely ridiculous. I have to agree with this considering I have seen women talk about how they believe they can handle themselves if a strange man ever got physical with them.

The girl power movement is giving women a false sense of ability, safety and entitlement and girls should be taught to view this movement with some skepticism.

some of the more feared soviet soldiers in ww2 were women.

i say set a bar for performance, and let anyone in who can meet that bar. few, but some will be women. is that not so?
 
This is the first year since Trump owned the pageant right?

I really don't follow the beauty pageants, but the three previous year winners posted in this thread are all on a totally different level than this woman, and this year's runners up too. I just looked them up. Better overall definition of their musculature and generally better in the face.

I'm assuming that maybe this year they dropped the shallow focus on beauty and looked for women with some substance. Explains the army/ptsd angle.

I think the bigger issue is she's not that attractive. As someone already said, she has no hips and she's so skinny that her bones look like they're about to break through her skin. Would after a few pints of Guinness, but Miss USA? Na. She'd probably start looking like Miss Army Reserve after a few weeks in the field though.

As for her comments, it sounds like part self promotion, part women's equality bs, and part weekend warrior mentality. Anyone here who was active and had interaction with reservists/guard knows about the weekend warriors.
