Crime Minnesota senator who sponsored bill declaring criticism of Trump a mental illness, arrested for soliciting child for sex

Man I really thought my opinion of posters on here hit rock bottom in my VA thread but this? This is too much. I'm done with this shit. Have fun defending :eek::eek::eek:s who target teens. I'm not engaging with this shit anymore.

Don't worry Sherbro I can make fun of nonce apologists all day. I've got you.

An adult does not have sex with someone under the age of 18. It's rape. And I don't care how old the child getting raped is. It's all equally fucking terrible for different reasons. But clearly you don't see too much of a problem when one.

But hey it's not as bad when the 16 year old girl gets raped right? I mean its not like she can get pregnant with her rapists kid and be at major risk of death during child birth because of it. Oh and suicide, getting social ostracized, etc. Can't forget that. But hey, it's not :eek::eek::eek:philia tho
You're completely off the rails. Calling something worse isn't defending something else or being "more ok".

I can say murder is worse than manslaughter. That doesn't mean Im defending manslaughter or that I "dont see too much of a problem" with manslaughter, you clown.

I appreciate the "bro", but they're not "your kids".

Perfectly fine to call the guy a creep and remove him from office, but words have meanings, and under no circumstances is a 17 year old prepubescent, let alone one that didn't even exist and was like some AI image of general insta thot. FFS, the "g word" is banned on here because the mods are all left wing and couldn't bring themselves to condemn creepy adults insisting on having sex conversation with underage kids.

I'm asking for consistency. Sure, throw this guy in prison, but let's keep it up and prosecute every creep trying to have coercive sex talks with anyone under 18.

:eek::eek::eek:philia, in conventional usage, a psychosexual disorder, generally affecting adults, characterized by sexual interest in prepubescent children or attempts to engage in sexual acts with prepubescent children.

The g word is banned on here because you idiots kept running around calling everyone it whenever someone disagreed with you, or you started losing a discussion.

Nobody is buying what you're selling, Bob. Well, almost nobody.
Yer foul dude

It isnt my fault anyone is too stupid to understand anything I've said.
People think what you're doing is unpleasant specifically because they understand lol
How long have you been in here now "not defending" that guy
There's a reason threads like this usually boil down to someone quibbling about the definition of :eek::eek::eek:philia while everyone else shouts boo and throws trash
Get off the stage you fucking idiot

LOL It's been a hell of a month for the family values crowd.

Trump personally leaned on the Romanians to get the Tates back to the US.

Then Conor paraded all over the White House at a time when he's reviled in his own country because of the civil trial.

Now this.

So which party is really pro-rape and pro-grooming again?
Seems to be both at this stage.

Glad he’s been caught and hope if proven guilty he gets a lengthy sentence.

It isnt my fault anyone is too stupid to understand anything I've said.
I think that sentence, at least if you wanted it to make sense, should probably read:

"It isn't my fault everyone is too stupid to understand anything I've said"

Alternatively I suppose you could have written "it isn't my fault I couldn't find anyone who wasn't too stupid to understand anything I've said", I mean if you really insist on using 'anyone', it is a bit unwieldy but the only way you can make the sentence work with 'anyone' in. Alternatively, 'nobody is clever enough to understand what I said' would have worked.

I will leave the attendant irony of your casting aspersions of stupidity whilst showing a grasp of language I'd have been ashamed of as an 8 year old mostly unremarked.

Still, as an 8 year old, I'd only be 8 years from the point where you'd desperately 'whatabout' on behalf of your team, if a 40 year old man actively tried to solicit me for sex.

Keep running interference for the disgusting degenerates on your team you debased, soiled, withered husk of a man.

It would be ephophilia. Illegal, but still not as bad as :eek::eek::eek:philia.

Wtf do you think your "age of consent" implication means? Do you actually read age of consent laws? Because an age of consent being 16 doesnt mean they can bang 40 year-olds

I believe that it actually does.

You can't use that as a defense against soliciting a minor, but if it was an organic (for lack of a better word) relationship then it would be legal even though it'd still be creepy.

Almost every State that has "age of consent laws" also have exemptions or "Romeo and Juliet" statutes, so that say, an 18 or 19 year-old isnt prosecuted because they have a 16 year-old significant other, being as they're still teenagers.

They almost never just mean someone of any age can bang a teenager.

But they can bang a minor that is the age of consent. In Indiana a 40 yr consensually banging a 16 yr old is statutory rape, but banging a 17 yr is ok under the law.

Romeo Juliet laws basically keep high schoolers and college freshmen dating the h.s. sweetheart from being charged with statutory rape.

If a state senator can be considered in a position of authority over minors they don’t know then it would be a crime. That’s not to mention soliciting could be considered an aggravating factor. If that is the case that would also make this an age of consent crime. This entire conversation shows age gap laws need to be expanded to include anyone attempting to exploit minors.

Apparently the origin of the "age of consent" in States are mostly defined by court cases being as there's no real Federal standard that applies. In Indiana, parents of a 15 year-old girl who got a fake ID and went to a bar tried to have a guy in his mid-20's prosecuted for having sex with her. His lawyer argued that since she was in a bar, he had a reasonable expectation that she was of age, so in that context what he did wasnt illegal.

The fallout from that was 16 becoming the de facto age of consent, and it has remained unchallenged from there. What that means is this case could change the "age of consent" due to the parameters of the illegal activity. Was an underaged prostitute in a position to menacingly consent to sexual activity with a public official even not considering the illegality of prostitution? Seems like a gross question to need to ask but here we are.

A Senator should always be considered a position of power and authority, and that should always be considered when they do illegal sh*t. Especially things like having sex with teenagers for money.

This thread is a microcosm of exactly how TDS works.

Me: "The age of consent is 17"

Everyone: "That means you want to have sex with a 17 year old"

"Your mask is off"

"LOL, looking for a loophole"

"You're a grown man!"

"You said federal which means you're defending it somehow"

Jesus, people. Read the words, not the thoughts you put into someone else's head.

Have you once condemned it this thread? The posts I have read you appear to be deflecting based on the seeming legality of it. If it isn’t illegal it most certainly should be. 40 years olds attempting to have sex with minors are predators. Even if technically legal it absolutely should be condemned. Would you be in favor of strengthening age gap laws with minors?

Both Dems & Repubs do this let's not act like its simply a Republican thing

It's definitely both but it's also definitely a thing where Republicans love to project.

Ie. The Republican that loves to hate on gay people gets found in a hotel room banging the gay prostitutes.

Ie. The Republican that loves to talk about protecting the children gets found out having relations with a minor, or marrying their stepdaughter.

It's so common at this point it's like a mainstream joke in itself
