I've seen people note that the uptick in trans affiliated shooters in the last 3-5 years is quite clear, and likely well above typical percentile representations as a "group". It's something to be concerned about, and an indication that people suffering from these mental conditions are probably more at risk to lashing out in such violent ways (given the avenues).

The overall mental health of people these days is absolutely horrible and no one seems to want to discuss it. The easy solution is to blame guns, demand police guard every school or whatever, but the issue at its very core is it takes an extremely sick fuck to want to do this. I know guys are now discussing the whole trans thing and although I do think body dysmorphia (ie trans) is a mental disorder I think it goes deeper than that since we've also had our fair share of non-trans shooters. The common factor seems to be someone younger, perpetually online and not much of a social life. That shit is not good for someone mentally. I have no idea how we go about tackling this issue but I think it's important we recognize it for what it is instead of playing partisan politics. Just getting real sick of kids getting shot.

First, Westman wasn't included in the 2 instances of trans shooters I evaluated using that incredibly restrictive and silly database to calculate that transgenders have committed mass shootings at a rate 15.0x relative to the norm since November 2022. He didn't qualify because he didn't kill enough people.

In fact, looking at only the dead or injured victims, here were the counts, and whether or not these qualify as "mass shootings" according to that database used for that study.

As a Canadian, I too am a vocal supporter of the 2A in America. Amazing how many students of history do not understand the propensity for tyrannical government and the need for some form of physical balance. Unfortunately, gun culture has grown to something unimaginable and completely perverted in the USA and real, intelligent reformations are required.

The biggest problem in America is that their most important laws and rights can not be adjusted (ie Constitution) to fit intelligently and efficiently with shifting times. While the core intentions of the founding fathers should always be present in any ratification, there is much need for adjustment in methodical increments. Which is maybe true, but someone who does understand statistics would then point out that we aren’t using a large enough sample size and when we are talking that it’s like what, 6 or 7 in history.
