Almost half of the US military is black.

Which means that almost half of all Vets are black. Per capita, black folk have more trained people in their communities then white people do.

Black enlisted army active duty members is 23.6%. There's a breakdown on page 26 of the report. It's from 2014 though.

Like most posts in this thread, I did not read, but no person who is informed about the costs and logistics of the death penalty support it. Here in St. Louis, the two prosecutors with the highest death penalty conviction statistics have had ~40% ethical violation rates and have combined had 10 men have their executions suspended (through appeals processses that cost millions).

Actually, those stats are wrong.

Only takes a simple internet demographics search to figure it out.

Of the entire military force, blacks make up only 17.8%, Whites - 74.6%, Other - 7.6%. Total % of minorities, 25.4%.

Apparently the Milwaukee Journal named the officer and he's now getting a ton of death threats.

I think he is done as a cop, going to be way too big of a target id he is back out on the streets.

Should sue the shit out of the newspaper though.
