I own body armor. Wearing it in public as some kind of preventative measure strikes me as the actions of an unstable person.

Given how things have been unfolding with the various protests considering wearing kevlar if you're there supporting conservatives isn't such a dumb idea. Now if they truly wanted to be prepared they should have been armed as well. If more violence breaks out at these things that's likely what you'll start seeing, armed conservatives.
