A military veteran won his case to fly two flags outside his home in Griffin, Georgia. A retired Marine Captain displayed an American flag and a Marine Corps flag outside his home and was under fire from the community’s HOA. Lowe signed a contractual agreement in a HOA to abide by the community rules and on the other hand the issue overlapped the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. In matters involving the Constitution and the Bill of Rights usually civil liberties will prevail.

Fuck anyone who is offended by the flag. And fuck HOA's

Lol. You can't sign your right away to fly a flag, but you can sign your right away to arbitration all day long. Why, because one effects our corporate overlords, and the other doesn't.

Fucking banana republic we live in.

HOA's are a different culture and hard to judge.

Sounds like safe haven's for people that cant mind their own fucking business.

I will never ever live where there is an HOA.

Well, according to the story, he could fly only one flag. The issue was flying 2 flags. I'm sure the neighbors would have no problem with him flying this flag:

...or this one:

Seems like a good ruling to me. OP is a little misleading but overall I think the result is good.

The homeowner didn't " win his case " and this had no court hearing or Constitutional principles involved.
quote from your linked story. " After the story attracted national attention, property management finally agreed to change the covenants. The new rules now allow for two flags as long as one of them is the U.S. flag, Lowe said."
So the homeowners association changed their rules, did you not even read the story ?

The homeowners association changed their rules. It's obvious you didn't read the article but instead just assumed what it was about as a vehicle for you to air your grievances.

This is just another reason why I live on a farm out int the country. I don't have to deal wih HOA's. I can fly an American flag and also have a kiddie pool in my front yard, and nobody says a thing.

How often does an HOA actually change their covenants? To me, the fact that they actually gave in and changed them means he did "win" his case, request or whatever you want to call it.
