Mike Perry : 'BKFC is a step up from the ufc as far as contract'

What exactly do people expect the guys that have been kicked to the curb say? Seriously?

Oh yes, the UFC was top notch all the way, and now I’m making less money, but I’m actually happier fighting in obscurity as opposed to the premiere promotion on the planet.

Yes, I’m waiting for a fighter to actually say the obvious. But not one of them ever will. He didn’t CHOOSE to leave the UFC for some mythical greener pastures. He was shown the door.
He’s getting paid more now

What in Gods name does Social Justice have to do with this, or are people just really dumb and this is the equivalent of when people with limited vocabularies and life experiences called anything they didn’t like “gay”?
Ghey

So sick and tired of these whiny SJW posts of pay

Christ almighty. You idiots SIGN WITH THE ORGANIZATION

either start a fighter union, or go to bellator or STFU!!!
Nah they will keep complaining and we will keep calling the ufc lame.

no we don’t need a
Union

The ufc will be bullied into paying more

He could have just said they are both good lol

It’s funny though. These fighters have either been outright released, or just not re-signed (literally told you mean nothing to the UFC). But the anti-UFC element in here takes everything they say as fact. Yes, I’m quite sure Corey Anderson, Cyborg, Kevin Lee, and Mike Perry are all making millions of dollars per fight in the minors. It’s utterly ridiculous.

When you get fired or dumped by some girl. Suddenly your next job, or gf are the best thing that ever happened to you. Or that’s what some people say publicly. Sometimes it might even be true. But if you don’t automatically raise an eyebrow when a guy gets dumped by a 9, and ends up with a 5. I really question your motivation.

It's too early to say if BKFC's business model is sustainable. A lot of these companies come out of the gate super generous, only to fold a short way down the line.
They seem to be doing well. They constantly have multiple events and keep getting better signings. They have a dedicated stream service for their fights so it's easy to view. If it was going to crash I think it would've crashed already. It has a certain fanbase now and it's a niche combat sport currently. As long as they keep getting good signing and having good matchmaking on their fight cards it should continue to do well. They need more money fights, that will gain them the most exposure overall.

Bareknuckle seems to be paying well since a lot of fighters that switch over praise them for their fight purses.

BKFC seems like the sketchiest org out there right now. The owner looks like he just got off a week-long bender every time I see him.

And they are having old fighters that took way too much damage in MMA fight (like Bigfoot Silva).

I don't see it lasting more than a few more years TBH
Wasnt Big Foot supposed to fight in Khabib's card and he didnt got cleared to fight or something?

They apparently paid PVZ $500K per fight to get embarrassed in her two fights as “the face of the organization”. It was a gamble that failed miserably.
It brought attention to BKFC so it still worked out in their favor. Plus they did a smart second match making with Rachael. Either way I don't see them trying to do BKFC long term because of the superficial damage it causes to the face. Cuts and hematomas will be pretty much be a part of every single fight and broken hands as well. They are still using their looks for promotional work so that will always be a concern for them. They would want to minimize that kind of damage overall.

Does BKFC even have healthcare for in ring injuries???
They should have insurance, every promotion is required that for events. What people are campaigning for is long term healthcare and healthcare for what happens outside of their events/fights.

Proof? Because I know Bellator doesn't have health care insurance during their events.

Well Perry is the big fish when it comes to BKFC and one of the biggest names they have. His fights in the UFC led to every fight questioning if he should be cut. Makes sense he gets better offers and treated better with them.

Nobody at BKFC would have contracts which come close to the top of the UFC.
They've had a few big signings. Million dollar contracts for a couple of people so they have done contracts comparable to the top fighters in UFC.

Bellator doesn't have injury insurance or insurance to cover treating injuries sustained in the fight? I don't think that's how professional promotions work.

No they don't.

UFC is the only MMA org that covers health insurance from in ring injuries.

I have a hard time believing BKFC follows suit.

So fighters pay out of their pocket to get treated for their injuries in a fight? I don't think that's true. Promotions would be required to have insurance to host professional fights, that's why they have medical staff in all events. It's the treatments after the fights they don't cover or any work you get done after the event.

"This marks the first time in a long time that White has made a public statement about new benefits for UFC fighters. Right now, the promotion only offers medical benefits for active roster members who experience immediate injuries related to a fight or training camp. The training injury coverage was added to the UFC insurance policy in 2011. Prior to that, UFC only covered in-competition injuries for its athletes.

No other major mixed martial arts (MMA) promotion currently offers their fighters (often viewed as contractors, not employees) full-time health benefits."

Many fighters have needed surgery after sustaining injuries in a fight, and had to pay out of their own pocket, this isn't new information.

Right, I mean it was a big deal when Coker (Bellator) came forth and said they were covering Cyborg's injuries (MVP).

That's as far as I know the only time they have, they also gave him a win bonus.

Cyborgs wife set up a GoFundMe because Bellator doesn't pay health insurance. Coker did this time though.

i hope your wrong. Every event has been really entertaining.

I would be really interested to see some full card payouts but i can't find any.
